I've had a fiesta st mk8 and now I've got the puma st the fiesta is still the king but the puma is amazing because its not far of the feel of the fiesta with more room

@GRIEFNATIONUKKI9DS I've had the car for just over 2 years and covered 11.600 miles without any faults. I would have ordered a new one, but they have dropped the 15lt engine.

I'm loving my Fiesta ST3, and looking forward to the latest Focus ST in Fantastic Red, which I ordered in January. Hopefully get it in September 😉

I would prefer the Fiesta ST, but the mk8.5 facelift with 320 Nm of torque 😉

Hey Ken, we are looking forward to getting the Mk8.5 out and put it through it paces - that additional torque is going to be fun!

This video just gave me a good idea! Put the Puma rear brakes on the fiesta! Coz only front BBKs are available. now to check if they are different

Would be interesting to know what settings you had them on...normal, sport or race and if launch control was activated

I’ve just swapped my mk8 st For the mk8.5 fiesta st in mean green I’ve definitely made the right choice absolutely love it so it’s the fez for me 👍

I like them both and prob would take the puma. But is it only me who noticed the guy in the puma hit the rev limiter in 2nd gear thats how the fez jumped the car length! It would have been neck an neck if he didn't

yes, you are right. also possible miss shift

Traded my Fiesta ST performance edition for the puma ST in green. I needed more space for camera equipment. I honestly don’t feel like I’m missing anything. Possibly just miss the go kart type feel you get with the fiesta but the puma is a fabulous car.

What's your opinion about suspensions comfort between thé 2 véhicules ? Il looks like Puma is much garder that the fiesta, to ensure a good handling ?

Puma ST is best for me the extra boot space and the look of the car are a win and it is sporty to drive - grips like glue on bends - Mean Green looks fab - just waiting for the ST Hybrid to be made will be getting one of those if I can, it might go even faster!! :>)

Hey, the extra space, looks and sporty drive are for sure a huge draw for the Puma ST! Mean Green is one of our favourites!

For me it's got to be the new mk8.5 fiesta st in mean green.will whip the puma with the extra torque. 👌

I would like to have see Ian Callum's face when they rolled that porky puma out for the first time 😂

I love Fiesta ST's and have constantly owned one going back to the MK6 2Litre, 3 of them last one was the 500. 3 x MK7 last one being the 200 and lastly the MK8 which I am about to replace with the Puma ST. I'm not particularly interested in the out and out performance, if I was I would be buying a very different car, but the Fiesta ST is ideal for me and my needs and has just about the right performance for British roads. However as I now have slight difficulty getting out of the car I like the albeit slight extra height of the Puma and being 5 door having smaller front doors which can be useful in car parks. The 3 door Fiesta ones are huge! I do love the ST seats which are perfect for me. By coincidence all bought from new from Peoples Ford.

The Puma ST is available to order & has the B&O & folding electric heated mirrors performance pack is extra but standard on fiesta now Plus there’s a Gold edition Puma ST. Ford have stopped taking orders for all Fiestas now plus outstanding 3 door orders changed to 5 door. I’d say Puma for specs & availability

actually its enough for me that a fiesta was too small and the puma was just enough, so was either a puma or not a fiesta? its bigger inside, not a lot but enough to make a difference and then theres the boot too.

Only stupid people James, that’s who 😄 They are based on the same platform so the only real extra space is height. Personally I don’t need a couple of feet of empty space above my head, I’d rather have the more agile & lighter car out of the two so Fiesta ST it is.

So basically makes.sense now and your talking BS ..fiesta was too small and puma wasn't.. its not rocket science when the fiesta is cheaper lol if it was the same the puma wouldn't sell... same chassis not body .. only stupid people know this though!

Puma only has LSD if purchased as an option (worth mentioning as it made out they all have it), which mine has and everyone should choose! i love mine i have one in grey matter. Realistically i like the fiesta more but it was that little bit too small for me ... we all know the fiestas better but t he puma is a great option!

Are you trying to argue the puma is not slower? lol It is either way.

You should have done a rolling race. Too much human error on launch with FWD manual cars.

Extra room ? I sat in them both at Ford show room while picking up my Focus ST, They seemed to have the same of knee room in the back

there is more room inside the puma, its bigger overall inside then also the boot.

@@gazzwad If we’re going to Talk about Volume, Yes perhaps with with Increased head room. I set the Steering wheel and seat into roughly the Same position in each at The Showroom I had No chance of sitting behind my self in the 5dr fiesta ST , and it was pretty much the same amount of leg room in the back of the Puma . However I did like the higher up feel of the puma , and the fiesta feel better than the focus for driving position I think I’d drive the wheels of the fezza I like it them both . Just need a bit more room in the Back seat

@@gazzwad i sat in one already. Dashboard is 100% the same as fiesta. Font seats dont have more space, leg room in the back is exactly the same. Only difference is the height.

If you want room and space get a people carrier. Fiesta much superior.

Puma has more aero drag at higher speeds

Fiesta ST has the better driver I think. 😁

JA AIIE 2 SIND GUT, aber der Puma ist größer sieht gut aus. Die neuen wo noch besser..

Drag races are all about weight, same engine but less weight and drag, wins every time.

Got the last of the last fiesta st3 8.5 mean green the 8.5 has more torque then the mk8

ill bring down my stage 1 mapped mk8 st and show up the lot of them and the new 8.5 fiesta. 😉

You should use the new model if comparing really as they have exactly the same engine. I have the new fiesta st3 it’s unreal!

This is the perfect demonstration why SUVs suck. The Fiesta has better drag, aerodynamics, lower center of gravity and less weight. No surprise it won.

The puma looks like a fiesta that got stung in the mouth by a bee 🐝

Puma's driver hits rev limiter at the begining and lost time...

I love the Fiesta ST

Maybe if you spent less time screaming and more time not screwing the gear change and banging off the rev limiter then the Puma would have taken it! LOL!

Haha where would be the fun in that! We ran the race a good few times, with different drivers and we couldn't get the Puma to win.

Plus you hit the diversity target for the video. Well done.

This is just straight line racing. In real road conditions going around twisty bends the fiesta is going to be more fun. The higher centre of gravity of the puma means you won't be able to push as hard in the corners.

You're obviously trying to push the puma ....

Pretty sure the 2023 model Fiesta ST has uprated torque by 30nm so has basically the same as the Puma ST ...

I CAN'T !! get your chip supply sorted ! No wonder Fiesta has slipped down from top seller and the poxy Corsa now sits on top of best seller list !

@@neovenom9833 Corsa has always had a cheap nasty dashboard and interior on the whole, cheap grainy plastics, I always think "learner driver" or " girls car" or " 18 year old boy racer car" when I see one. I thought about getting a highanddry i20N then 20seconds later woke up. About as exciting to look at as a Polo !

Am sorry that Puma is so ugly. They truly sound naff. I will stick with my mk2.5 Focus st 5 pot a proper engine for real petrol heads.
