I have the Deviate Nitro and have had zero issues with them…..matter of fact I use them for all types of workouts because I enjoy them so much. I would buy them again.

Same here. My go to shoes nowadays. Fit every type of workout and road conditions.

Adore my regular Deviates. Was apprehensive about heel issues after watching a few reviews, but no problems at all!

I loved Automan (played by Chuck Wagner) loved how a nerdy NYPD IT technician created a holographic cop in the 80’s using basically a ZX Spectrum. He had a cool Tron like lambo countach which also turned into a tron like copter. Was on ITV about 4pm on a Saturday (before Knight Rider, the A-Team and Street Hawk) great music choice In it for the money is a awesome album to run with!

I was actually thinking of this last night at Cross Country practice. I put on the GoMeb Speed 6 with the Nylon plate, and ya know it felt good. Looking forward to the Takumi Sen 8 with the lower stack

I bought some rawdacious peg 38 as I’m a fool, can’t resist a bargain (£76) . 10 miles and still spotless no idea how given the weather. I’m actually liking them (hated the 37) - …”If I’m being super critical” - very nice 👌.appreciate your really well thought out, considered videos, top work.

The 38 upper was massively better than the 37 👍🏼

I love the standard Deviate. For me, it’s a better fitting, more locked-in FuelCell TC. I would love to try the Deviate Elite. But, unfortunately, the latest drop didn’t include a size 13.

LIKE 👍 They come in a smaller mold. It worked well for me after going a half size bigger! I 👌

Got them both no heel problems on the deviate and it’s the best everyday trainer I’ve ever had 💯 the elite I’m using for intervals and used at recent 10k race. Here’s the thing though picked up 2 new pairs of the deviate nitro recently for £100 each now that’s value, it’s felt like I was practically robbing them

Me too. People need to experience these.

If anyone has the chance, definitely pick up the Liberate. Amazing shoe. Lighter, cheaper, great feel at different speeds. Deviate Nitro definitely caused a blister or two, but it's definitely miles ahead compared to all Nike Zoom Fly models I've tried, in terms of cushioning and bounce. The Deviate Nitro is a good shoe if you want to do some more faster marathon miles without breaking the bank training with a race shoe. Got my Deviate pair for 75 pounds. which is the exact amount I would pay for that shoe. I think of racing a marathon in the Deviate in a week, so fingers crossed.

Felt some mild heel slippage in the nitro, think it’s just a matter of a proper lock down I’m hoping. Slipped my feet into the elites and they feel awesome but I haven’t had a chance to run in them yet but I have high hopes for the elites👍

The elite is a stupendous shoe. So light it’s like a mint aero chocolate bar.

Deviate Nitro, although heavier than my other horses, DN had my PBs...

I went out for a 4 miler in the NB fuelcell tc tonight forgot how good it is!

Standard adulting chores, meal plans, working and then running a tonne every day, adding filming and editing on top of that! I suspect drugs (that said, caffeine is off the WADA list).

I bought the Nitro 2 and I think I will try to sell them. The too thick upper and the weight do not please me… Dailly trainer is such an unnecessary concept anyway. I will try the elite

Have you tried the veja sock runners? I picked them up for $170 and they fit better than ultraboosts.

Aww poor beast. If the elites don’t get released here by the time the bondi X drops then I’ll probably just wait to get the normal deviate on a huge discount.

Can't find the elite here in the US, deviate Nitro can be found for under 100 American dollars though

The deviate nitro was the original version before they changed the heel.

Ran in the deviate nitro The lock down isn’t great for me Despite everything I do I still have heel slippage The ride is a bit firm. Not harsh. The carbon plate isn’t forgiving and subtle. I use this shoe for long runs and up to half marathons still. Waiting to try the deviate nitro elite. It’s always sold out.

Really frustrated with the Nitro Elite. Finally got it in the second release and waited 2 weeks to ship. Find out that it's half a size different from the Liberate and Magnify that I have. Also the Deviate Nitro that I returned. Did you find the Nitro Elite sizing a little small? Wouldn't mind it if I didn't need room for feet swelling in a marathon.

@@EDDBUD surprisingly the Deviate Nitro in Red is now around 110 euro and the Elite is available but at Euro 200. I tried the Deviate Nitro in the shop. It fits long and for me impossible to get any kind of heel lock even when going down a half size.. I agree that the stiff plate pushed the heel out.

I only got the deviate as the elite wasn’t out at the time. It felt like a fast daily. But still a bit clumpy and dopey. They also tor my Achilles apart so had to cut the heel. Never had a problem since . . Then the elite came out so had to get a pair. They are like night and day tbh. Just ran a half pb in the elite and were a dream to run in. Vaporfly fly contender IMO. Also the deviate only has a plastic plate as the elite has a full carbon plate

@@marcuslockhart4610 heard that vietnam has been going into lockdown recently. factories there have been shutting down. That might be the reason why. Nike is also facing the same sort of issues with their Streakfly which has been hyped for the longest time.

Hi Edd, in one of your Nike Next% (the first ones) video you recommended the innov8 boomerang inserts. Seeing as you seem a clever guy I ordered some. But, as I’m a poor student, I’m terrified of pulling the inserts currently in my next%’s out. I didn’t realize they are glue or otherwise bonded in until my boomerangs arrived. Did you have an issues taking the default soles out of yours? If you hadn’t liked the boomerangs would you be able to put the standard ones back in? I know this is silly/noobish. These are my first really nice running shoes and I cannot afford to replace them if I tear the interior up.

Sorry, solebrother. I was done at the heel slip bit. I’d rather a thicker sock when the weather goes sideways than deal with raw heels or cutting the ankle/heel collar of my shoe. The rest of your thorough review was fun though. ✌🏽💙🏃🏽‍♂️

It’s a weird one. I think it’s the sizing causing the issue. Perhaps in a 10.5 it would have not been an issue? 👍🏼😊🏃🏻‍♂️

@@EDDBUD one part of my sticking to one brand and one range within said brand is all the different sizing issues in reviews. There is enough to consider within one brand... I'd rather not add too much to the insanity. As an example: I need to add an extra insole to the adidas Superstar aka Shelltoe 'cos the toebox is so wide. I could go half a size down, but it would cause pain in my heels (I tried this methodology before). So I stick to primeknit Shelltoes in my TTS and add the extra insole. I own one pair at a time 'cos I find it so annoying. I completely avoid running shoes that force me to guess on sizing. Thank goodness reviewers (like you) take the chances for us. 👍🏽

No idea why this is a vs one against the other. One is a more durable daily/long run logger. The elite should be in a box until race day. People really need to start realising that they need to slow it down in training for 70%/80% of their running. The other 20/30% should be on track of some form of speed session. So many people just go all out every run in race shoes and wind up missing the start line.

If the Elite completely addresses the heel counter from hell of the OG Deviate, that extra cost is already well worth it.

There's no point in doing Deviate Elite reviews. It doesn't seem like it will ever be available to regular runners

Why do skinny runners always think firmer foams are the way to go for fat bastards like me.. actually softer squishy foam is better for runs . Tried literally every brand now . Fuelcell wins this year followed by ffblast . But ffblast seems to lose its squish quite fast

because firmer foams compress more under heavier runners. it does depend on personal preference at the end of the day though.
