    @@FordyRuns I am just impressed how many you can do mate. Sooo many trainers doing slightly different jobs. Definitely keen to see how the speed 4 stacks up against it as that’s probably my next purchase.

    Would the MagicSpeed 3/4 or Boston 12 be in the same category here? And then if so would you pick the Saucony Speed 4 over MS3/4 or the B12?

    I am returning my DN3. Something about it does not feel like any upgrade to the DN2. In fact I find it a bit clunky and heavy. I am going with the Speed 4. It's always a safe bet.

    Curious why you went with the Neo Vista as the comp from Mizuno rather than the Wave Rebellion Flash 2, which seems like more of the super trainer option.

    Took my Mizunos back after one run. With that amount of cushioning the stack was way too high for me, was wobbling all over the place and they were hurting my legs and legs felt drained possibly from constantly trying to stabilise myself?(I'm 6ft4/15 stone)

    I’m currently using the Boston 12 for longer runs with goal pace work (4m40s km HM) and it’s ok, but the upper and laces drive me mad. Should I use my race day shoe (Endorphin pro 3) for these runs or look at the speed 4?

    I own the Mizuno and Speed 4 (I have Puma Deviate Nitro 2 as well). By far, my favourite to run in is the Mizuno - I think the softness and bounce it gives means that you can run a bit faster or slower in it and feel looked after either way. The Speed 2 was one of my favourite shoes to run in, but I don't think they've quite nailed the 3 or the 4 (or maybe other brands just overtook them and so it feels that way). I've found both subsequent Speed models to be lacking in comfort and excitement. I think I prefer the Triumph in the Saucony line these days. The Deviate Nitro 2 was just a bit narrow and a bit solid feeling for me. I wouldn't say I necessarily love soft shoes (the Shift and Forever Run are pretty firm and some of my favourite daily shoes), but the Deviate really did feel solid when running (my guess is the plate / puma grip combo). So, yeah, for me: the Mizuno is leading the daily training miles this year............................ :)

    How does the Mizuno compare to the Prime X Strung 1? I love the Prime X Strung but wouldn't mind having something similar but different if you know what I mean 😂

  • @hybridexperiment

    @hybridexperiment

    8 күн бұрын

    I have both and enjoy them both. I think the Prime X is quite a bit more 'poppy' and aggressive feeling, but the Mizuno looks after you more and you're far less likely to snap an ankle if you hit a bump in the road :D I find both really comfortable, probably a bit more space in the Adidas (both size UK 11), but then more comfortable, soft and cushioned feel in the materials used around the top of the foot in the Mizuno.

    Def the Puma ( V2) Fordy because of its versatility I’ve found the speed 4 only comes alive if you push it to 8 min miles or under anything over that and it loses its magic and becomes clunky and unstable.

    Out of these 3 shoes, I have only run in the Deviate 3s and prefer the firmer feel of Pumas. I also ran in the Deviate 2s and liked them, but the stability is better in the 3s. I don't like the heel in the D3s. Too loose for my liking and I need to use the runner's loop to secure the heel, something I don't have to do with my Velocity 3s or Magnify 2s. Thanks for the comparison. Oh, I also hate shoes with a booty upper. Seems unnecessary.
