Also use a block of wood and hammer to remove pointer cover when it gets vacuumed-stuck.(like what happens with 2 buckets) or just use insulation tape around pin pointer cover to keep water out.

Hi mate. I tried my box out in port phillip bay. I actually found no targets whatsoever after an hour of trying. There is a fair amount of black sand under the white sand. Are there any settings you could suggest playing around with?

Black sand shouldn't make a difference,,, push reset when in dought,, and make sure its on strongest setting.

Being the bigger coil penetrates deeper it is safe to think it will deteriorate the battery time faster..what is the difference? And..it penetrates deeper...but what is the difference in WIDTH of coverage on the same item at 1"? 3"? 6"? Can you do a video on this? These are important factors and you would be the only person of all the videos now showing the same test ( most similar with similar results) look forward to this test that is not not available on KZread as of right now. I own the 2in1 Pulsedive and have a 8" coil coming..l will do my own test but many l am sure are as curious as l am about the battery life difference and actual width diffence! Thanks for vid!

Hi James, The battery life is still longer than I can detect for so I don't actually know if it is affected or not. I can still get 8 hours no problem using this combo! :)

I used the 8" underwater at sensitivity 5(full) and it was keep falsing..I turned the machine on/off many times but it was.keep falsing..so I hunted at sensitivity 4. On the other hand when using the small coil at full sensitivity I rarely getting false signals . So what's the point having the big coil and can't use it at full sensitivity underwater... Anyone tried at Full sensitivity the 8Coil with better results than me? By the way great video man !!❤️

hey, interesting comparison would be how long do you have to hover over an object for the detector to find it, why? when i swim with pulsdive i feel it would be nicer if i could move the tool faster - maybe its possible with the bigger coil ?

  • @marcsmetaldetecting2477

8inch definitely feels like double the coverage,,, depending on your ears(some targets only give a short quick sound as it is on the edge of the machines finding capabilities, and you may miss the target) and closeness of target to coil ,,slow is better

That's some good depth. I might get one while i wait for my nox to get back from water damage. Great detecting videos as well, I've posted as few of my own water hunts. You should buy some gloves fyi, i find a tonne of broken glass in the sand, and if you cut yourself in the water in WA the great whites are coming (just kidding, kind of)

Good test my friend! Just a quick question: in order to be "overloaded" and have more power/sensitivity in salt water...should I turn it on in the air before going into water, or turn it on after while already underwater? thanks in advance and greetings from Greece :)

The loading effect only happens if you ground balance it out of the water then put it in the water. Have you tried that? I am not sure it is the loading that increases sensitivity but moving the built in noise threshold. If you air test with the loading coin in place when you switch it on or ground balance there is no increase in sensitivity. I am surprised how insensitive it is as a PI machine. But digging deep holes under water is not easy so it is ok 👌 providing the sand is not very deep. 👍

Turn it up to Level Five. It's at it's weakest sensitivity setting when you first turn it on. You need to hold one button while pressing another several times (... two blips; three blips; four...) to increase the sensitivity to Level Five (long tone). At Sensitivity Level Five, it seems at least ten times more sensitive than it is when simply switched on. This video review is done at the weakest setting.
