Pulsar The Strands of Future 1976 Remaster

Музыка

The Strands of the Future is the second album by French progressive rock band Pulsar. Wikipedia
Artist: Pulsar
Release date: September 21, 1976
Label: Kingdom Records
Genre: Space rock
I have remastered this album to today's standard, giving it more punch, a wider frequency range, and a better stereo. A complex mix of modern tools were used to get to this result.
There are some white noise when the sound is low... it is from the original I got, and cannot be removed without altering the sound drastically. So I decided to keep these.
I hope that you will enjoy and share this great progressive rock album from a French group.

I saw them live in 77 in Cascais, Portugal. They performed themes of Pollen, The strands of the future and Halloween. Until today I still don't own Halloween. Their show was great, although the sound did not match that of the studio albums, but that was and still is normal. They were all accomplished performers. It was a wonderful show!

An awesome album. I've got the reissue of this and Halloween from the Museo label back in the nineties. However, this remaster is absolutely remarkable. Thanks for sharing this. Lots of great French Prog from this time. Ange, Carpe Deum, Arachnoid, to name a few. A French band in the nineties called Halloween (check out their album, Merlin) was heavily influenced by Pulsar.

Wow! Great sounding album and I'm damn surprised I haven't run across it before. Just makes me wonder how much other great 70s prog is out there that just wasn't appreciated so much back in the 70s. As much as KZread sucks for torturing you with ads, offering a venue like this for finding great, semi-forgotten music almost makes it worth it.

You've done a WONDERFUL job remastering this music. I bought the album back in the late 1970's as a total 'blind buy' from the 'Imports' section of my favorite large record store. I had never heard of the band , nobody recommended (or knew them) to me, I just saw the cover and decided i had to hear this. It was probably the first album I ever bought made by French musicians to boot. The outside and inside album cover artwork suits the music-even makes it all seem weirder than it actually is if fact. Information on what the bands musicians have been doing is pretty much nowhere to be found on the internet, at least not in English and i've always wondered what the bands musicians are up to.

No, I think now is about right, from the point of view that if you were there, as I was, you would never have heard the more obscure bands that are being discovered and played on KZread today, and more yet to be discovered I would guess :-)) Happy New Year from Wales. You could try other French bands of the same period, although they are more vocal than this album. Try Sandrose- same, sung in English, and Atmosphera- Lady of Shallot ( from israel ) sung in English too.
