It was recorded for the album Different Class, but the band decided not to use it. But 6 months later, "Mile End" got licensed for the Trainspotting soundtrack

+Pavel Sánchez Mile End in London. He references places like "Burdett Road" which is just off Mile End Road. Living in the sky refers to living in a High Rise block of flats. The 5th floor landing smells of fish not just on Friday every single other day. He means that Fish and Chips was a traditional supper on a Friday in England. Hence him saying not just on Friday. Nobody wants to be your friend because your not from around here means usually on estates like that people close ranks and shun outsiders (Gangs). Hope this helps.
