The artwork on the commons and uncommons is unreal too. I remember buying these packs new and, after buying the Wizards stuff since Base set, I didn't really appreciate the EX series artwork and the new artists at the time. However, in hindsight, it really was special. Even if you can't afford to buy a goldstar today, there is still so much value in the cheap commons/uncommons. Personally, I'm going for a full set of all the silver EX holos from these sets.

Back when I was a kid I would get a pack of Pokémon cards literally every time i went to the store with my mom. I opened at least 2 foil shadowless charizards. Never had any luck after 1st edition stuff phased out I can vaguely remember pulling a shadowed foil venasaur. I asked my mom a few weeks ago if she knew where my cards were. Only to be told she threw them away a few moves ago. Heart sank. Coulda been rich lmao.
