That place was a goldmine. How awesome to see you find the Standard sign hidden in the weeds. I hope you go back. There might be anything hidden there.

WOW 😲, this was a great treasure hunt. I loved every moment of it. It was like stepping into the past. As you video the cars, I was imagining who drove them. This was a great find. We were at a gas pump sale, and a gentleman had taken old front light grills from old model cars and converted into lighted wall art. The two big round lights lit up. It was super cool and he was selling them like crazy. They were from authentic old model cars. He would love this place. Thanks for sharing. Yeah!!

I collect old signs but there is no places like that where I live anymore I would love to have been there with you I could do that for days brother

I also like collecting signs but these days they have become too expensive. This was like a breath of fresh air being able to find original stuff first hand at a affordable price. Rob

Awesome! I love to hunt collectibles from scrapyards or junkyards. What part of California was you in that scrapyards? I’m from Southern California. Great finds you got! The best one is Standard Service porcelain sign!!

I wish Southern California had such places. This was somewhere in central Nebraska.

Talk about some buried treasures. Tom Cotter from Hagerty would have a field day with all of those old cars.

I am glad you asked this question. No Most yards like this are closed to the public because of liability and insurance issues. It took me a while to get permission to enter these places .

Can you find me a tailgate for a 46-56 ford pickup truck it don’t have to be in fantastic shape and I’ll pay for shipping of course

I will ask about buying it next time. I am not an expert in all aspects of antique collecting . I am learning everyday.

if the owner was smart he sell each car $100 then at least they might live on and not just rot away.
