6:05 I agree, this episode is underrated, it was a full on TRIP, but in the best way, especially the parts where the Flying Dutchman tries to scare SpongeBob with a weird and… kind of gross shapeshifting trick, with SpongeBob being so unfazed and when he scares Squidward, especially the part where he ends up in his art room with a giant SpongeBob and you could possibly even hear a tiny hint of relief in his voice, when he said “SpongeBob?”, it was just so trippy, thrilling and a fun time!

This is when season 4 moves from emulating season 3, to more of it's own thing. Out of the 2, I do prefer Ghost Host. It has great visuals, like Squidwards crushed in face & the Dutchman shape-shifting into bizarre creatures, that don't go into gross out. Also, any time SpongeBob can get angry (for a fair reason) is always nice to see. Chimps Ahoy is sweet, but it does slip my mind sometimes and it could've been funnier. Still, a solid pair of episodes.

Agreed. I also think that it’s around this point that season 4 started to feel pretty different from season 3, other than the animation/art style which always had a different quality.

@@icantseeforfree Ya, I would say season 4's animation was a prelude to the more exaggerated animation of seasons 10-12.
