Today we venture to El Nido, the place we're both most excited for in the Philippines. To get there we took a crowded van filled with people and chickens. After a 5 hour bumpy ride we arrived in El Nido. Make sure you come back for our adventures here, the scenery is seriously stunning!

Puerto Princesa is where we discovered the rare Golden South Sea Pearls. Unique archipelagic form of the Philippines and the waterways flowing down and arround the islands provide the right nutrients and conditions to produce the rare color. Be sure to check them out.
There is an actual Bus (big bus) operated by Cherry that drives from Puerto Princesa to El Nido but it only has 6 and 9 am schedule. I would not want that van cause as you say, they cramp the hell out of that small van and drives like crazy

The van is very fast it take about 3-4 hours but you got lucky that’s the slow driver

It was, we loved it!
A boy throwing up, a man coughing up blood, driver thinking he was a Formula 1 racer, chickens screaming to get out of their boxes and a flat tyre. Quite an adventure, not something you'd come across on a London bus that's for sure! Do hawkers there take no for an answer or do they persist? I've enjoyed following your travels in the Philippines, where are you heading next?

Hello, yes we learnt the hard way that we need an umbrella haha!
🐔 Oh, your last stop…we hope you do (are doing or did) have fun. When you pointed out the boxes, I was going to comment how that ride is a much more comfortable one than if you had taken "ordinary" (non-A/C) long-travel provincial buses with live 🐔🐓🐥 that would cackle along (or some other small farm animals), but…you had them board! (Pretty hilarious). Such is life traveling as the locals do :) - hats off to you! Towards late May into June and the rest of the year would start to have more rains [check out satellite maps to see how much cloud formations are around the Philippines at the moment], so you're really fortunate to have experienced the archipelago at the time of year you did. Looking forward to the rest of your El Nido adventures. Again, travel safe.

It would have better if you took the plane directly from Manila to El Nido to avoid the inconvenience. Good luck.in your travels as you are leaving the Pholippines. Just so sorry you aren't going to Coron or Camiguin. Siargo is still recovering from devastating typhoon, so its best to get there in a year or two.

Strangely enough we just ordered 2 massive pizzas about 2 hours ago...they did not survive 🤣🤣 That mini-bus trip sounds like it could be it's own episode! Nice one as always guys. Hope you enjoyed El Nido!

Been there twice. First was 2011, a month after that great earthquake in Fukushima, Japan. Only half of the national road was paved back then so the unpaved part was very dusty, much to our luck, the AC of our van broke half an hour after leaving Puerto Princesa, dust coming inside the van. It was hell all throughout, lol. And yeah, those van drivers really does full on F1 racing. I remember, the second time I went there last 2017 when the road was recently fully paved, the last stretch going to El Nido has this zigzaggy part, but those driver seemed like traverse that part on a straight line.🤣

Not sure what kind of button this couple pushed when they came to the Phil, it seems every where they go they smile but their eyes says a lot of unhappy moments. While most of the couples who came are still out there enjoying and continually share their vlogs about themselves . Stay happy always..and good luck.

We have had our fair share of bad luck here in the Philippines for some reason, it hasn’t happened to us on our travels before, not this much anyway 🙈 but we didn’t let it ruin our trip, all part of the experience! We still loved the Philippines ☺️ thank you so much!

Sorry to hear bout your experience in that van and yes van drivers are always fast and very dangerous.In the PH pizza are meant for sharing compared to western country that each person has a whole serving,hilarious.
