I am a former Bangladeshi diplomat's son who lived in Islamabad in 1984 (or 1985, I don't exactly remember) when Ferdausi Rahman performed in this show. We were gifted one of the copies of this memorable musical soiree on VHS. I have listened to it in awe as a child. Her versatility never ceases to amaze me! I could listen to her beautiful voice forever. She is Bangladesh's national treasure and she makes me immensely proud to be a Bangladeshi. May Allah bless her abundantly.

Oh my brother. Though I was born in 1970. But I miss you. Specially when I listen Urdu and languages songs by Runa Laila, Ferdousi Rhaman, Shahnaz Begum. It was good to live unitedly.

WoWwww I never knew that she visited Pakistan in 1986. I became her fan after listening to this gazal "Dil dharakne ka sabab yaad aaya" and "rung perahun ka khushboo" . I love her voice! I just love her voice and Sound of Bengal.

Thanks for rekindling the invaluable memories of the time when music and culture was alive in Pakistan and aesthetics had not yet succumbed to global materialism and hypocrisy. I wish to see replay of ek mohabbat so afsane . We all who are now in 50s or 60s miss all that it was there until the turn of the new millennium which has only brought misery and hypocrisy

Akter zaman, you know very little. Ferdousi begum and Shahnaz Begum both were well known figure in Pakistan at that time. Rahman and Rahmatullah name title are added after their marriage.
