The people who disliked this probably have no understanding of what these two maestros and their accompaniments were doing -- innovation, improvisation and inter-mixing of the rivers of Carnatic and Hindustani

I couldn't control the tears of happiness... Its my favorite jugalbandhi ever... Pandit Bhimsen Joshi is the best of Hindustani classical & Dr.Balamuralikrishna is the best of carnatic music.... Lovely...

This concert was performed without even one rehearsal and still they co-ordinate so well! Fantastic!

Gods on a terrestrial visitation from the Celestial !! The ladies on Mridangam & Violin are truly great. All the respect to them,

This is what god must listen in heavens. Look at his.. emotions.. it is clear that Bhimsen was something different, lost like a child in a cosmic world.. I want to be free like him!

Hats off....to both masters...great chemistry of understanding really...really it enchants audience...How spontaneously Joshi saab was rendering the karnatic notes...amazing...He is a true BHARATRATNA...

We of this generation are really blessed to hear such a great jugalbandhi north & south of Great Indian classics.

A joint musical tribute to the Lord, offered by two equally mighty and great masters of Indian Classical Music! It is nothing short of heavenly. Both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions have been done so much justice by these maestros; the symmetrical beauty and genius of Carnatic improvisation and the emotional intensity and genius of the Hindustani improvisation. Awesome!

We hear in this jugalbandi a fusion of Carnatak Music and Hindusthani Classical Ragas Kalyani and Yaman... BMK is singing 'Sangeetam' a famous Carnatak composition based on raga Kalyani with shuddha Ma BSJ is singing 'Shyam Bajaye' based on Yaman with teevra Ma Both are doing the taans in respective ragas.. a sublime effort

Thanks for upload prax78.Two great masters showing national integration through music a lesson to be learnt by all.It is truely touching and amazing the way they enjoy eatch others talent.

We are living abroad and like all Indians abroad the distance makes us clutch harder at our samskriti and culture which is why I try to give my son as much as possible . From when he was born I used Panditji to make him sleep ,but when he was around 1 and1/2year old ,to my utter amazement he started enjoying and listening to it instead of falling asleep . Since then he is really into music .

His favourite is Panditji and listens a lot to Bagyada laxmi baramma .Now that he has seen this clip he goes 'papapamamamanini' and flaps his arm about trying to imitate his 'Ajjas' ;-) The pure joy on his face is priceless,so once again our heartfelt gratitude for sharing . Too bad this is not available for purchase .
