Math and Mecca don't seem like they are willing to have a real dialogue about this. This is tantamount to accusing the reporter for reporting on a murder scene, while letting the murderer go free. They don't hold them accountable in the same way they are trying to do Ross, who is always respectable, and telling the truth about this madness playing some of our communities. Journalists have a professional objective to not impart their personal views but most in the music industry have little to no professional decorum. At some point we have to take accountability about the effects of the music on our psyche culturally. The news, Netflix, everyone profits on our destruction.

I think Ross needs to keep doing what he's doing because his stories are insightful and entertaining. However, I think platforms that are concerned with the cultural preservation of hip hop (which is basically around black & brown people telling their own stories) shouldn't have Ross on as a guest. He is making them famous, but on accident. The hood glorifies struggle and pain, because it’s the one thing that’s relatable to all of us. He doesn’t realize that many of us sympathize with King Von based on the environment he came out of. If you grow up around killers, your daddy was killed, your best friends were killed, and you live in a war zone… then we logically want you to survive, and the only way to survive is to become the apex predator/killer… a champion of sorts. I think the issue is that trap lore Ross doesn’t realize that he provides the rationale for Von’s decisions, without addressing the continuous theme of PTSD and other mental health factors or the history behind the environment without providing a solution.

I would've never imagined that I would be SO disappointed by Mecca especially. Math sounds crazy sometimes but Mecca ?? You TOO? WAOUWW !
