How much would it cost to buy or build an ebike like this. I literately would almost die to have it lol. You had to be going 40 in town
I was just thinking how good that bike would have been when I was commuting into work from Rayleigh High Street to the First Depot in Hadleigh. Then you only bloody rode it hahah. What a pleasant coincidence.
Just got my 48v 1000w up and running today and I'm loving it the only compromise I made was to remove the stickers from the rim lol
Wow! This looks so awesome to ride! Thanks for posting the videos.

Built this kit last year, it's more than sufficient for most needs, hasn't let me down once. Battery drains fast at highest power assist levels, but I rarely use them. I manage to reach about 30-33mph on the 3rd level with some peddling along. I only use higher power assist with hills / bridges, as my cadence gets uncomfortably fast above 35-36mph. Perhaps I should replace my front sprocket for a bigger one. Consider it a speed pedelec kit, it behaves in a similar way, with similar speeds & acceleration, only with the option of a thumb throttle (and cruise control apparently). Best lockdown project I've done!
Yeah I ran into that cruise control issue on my first couple of bills she was terrifying couldn't figure out how to turn it off I don't use those break either
Hub drives have about half the torque for the same power as mid drives which is why people say they can't get up hills, however the 55nm my 1000w 48v kit makes gets me up any hill no effort, maybe sometimes a little pedalling to take some strain off the motor
Brilliant….. overtaking cars on a bicycle 😂 love your stuff bud but I do wish u would wear a helmet at the very least. Looks like a cracking bike. 👍
Make shore when you're testing any ebike don't pedal just use the throttle accelerator.( No pedaling)

Why?
I had a 500 Watt fat bike stolen back in May. I have just baught a 1000 watt MTX off ebay for a Carrera Hellcat 29r. This series has really helped out. I still need to get the battery I was planning on getting a 48v 19AH. This will now be my third Ebike and first self build. Thanks for all the information, although I would of liked to of seen you install the pedal assist.

Throttle is illigal in the Netherlands but they never said anything about cruise control,so now i only use the KT controller.😂😂😂😂
I've got a 500w hub drive pushing 30amp@48v (1440 watts) for the last 1200 miles lol😅 It pulls me up a nice 20* hill at 20mph And when i go off-road with it, it doesn't seem to care whatsoever that I've left the pavement 😅 Granted i only weigh 130lbs and the bike weighs 58lbs.
Uau! Show de bola. Parabéns.
I use the befang mid drive and have thought about buying the 1000watt mid drive with frame in battery and motor closed on frame, but it’s still gonna do the same thing so I’m not wasting me money it’s pointless imo.
Watching the video has me in the hunt for a specialized bike, handling looks sweet. I wanna compliment you on the clean look of your build.

Thank you 😊
Nice looking bike , I’m 6.2 so might need a larger frame , I currently ride a NCM Moscow plus 29er XL frame (it’s a 48v 250w hub) pedal assist only , I do have a throttle but it’s 🇬🇧 spec so software locked or something as it only goes walking speed at full throttle 🙄.
Another great video 📹
i would like the option for the display to come with an E-ink option, since they show better in daylight than backlit LCD ,also theyre more battery efficient , only downside is at night (can add a backlight to it ) and the refresh times
why do people say hub drive is no good for trails ? surely if anything its better ? no chain whipping or chance of chain or teeth breaking off due to torque etc, the ONLY reason i can think of is easier wheel remove
I managed two build my own e-bike with 52v battery at 45amps. And I ran it on a 48v 1500w rear hub motor plus a 48v controller and it’s glorious. Zip around town and backroads with it. Can sort of keep up with slower traffic in order to keep it smooth.

48v 20ah battery will power a 2000w for about 30 mins at full power, so will go probably about 15 miles. At a lower power (generally apeaking you'll use about 750-1200w on your rides) it will go around 30ish miles.
Nice one - although I don't agree 100% with all that you present - hub drives work just fine - I picked up a cheap 2nd hand bike with an inframe / inbuilt battery 36v - and 250w rear hub motor and no throttle only PAS. That extra assistance got me powering through mud puddles and boggy terrain with ease - I have been mountain biking for many years and have never had so much fun and ease plowing through normally tough and long mud bogs even with mixed 50/50 dirt/road tyres. Hill wise very useful but I did have some issues in icy conditions on mid hill starts because the backend kept slipping out as I needed to spin the cranks before the motor kicked in - I am sure with a thumb throttle it would have been no problem as I could have kept the power on , even with the wheels spinning and gained enough momentum and balance to get to the top.
finally a guy thats not a bell end and actually does his videos how they meant to be good work my dude reason i said finally not a bell end bcuz this guy makes videos instead of jus a dude sitting in a chair talking about will a bike ride lol

Looks good
I built a 1000w hub kit , with a 48v 20ah battery , I live in Canada and rode through the last 2 winters , I had a top speed of 50 mph which I rarely hit unless on open bike paths . Fantastic product , over 2000 km on the battery and regular use at one point was biking 200 km a week . Total cost was around 900$ cdn eith the battety and my only regret is not getting a rear hub , but for snow , the front hub with gravel tires took me through harsh winters with zero issues . Year 2 and my battery is slowly giving and I lost alot of acceleration but still commuting to work in half of the time public transit takes . Was really interested in seeing a 2000w kit and this video answered alot of my questions thank you . I do wonder, what is your average distance per charge ? I was getting around 20 miles with mid use . I won't be buying a pre-made ebike, I agree the hub motors have a bad wrap online but in reality , I wouldn't use anything else , glad to hear someone saying that as well. Cheers , great videos. Lots of info , cheers!

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzread.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

Just because it doesn't have torque sensing and can lurch off too fast especially on very low speed turning manoeuvres. I prefer the control of the throttle because you can gradually use it cheap pas is all or nothing
Direct drive hubs struggle up hill that why people think all hubs struggle
what setting you have it on in program 14 ? its about 1-50a, but what does it do, if i put in 15 or 40 what is the difference ? nobody knows or can explain it to me, can you plz ?

Better than a moped

Yeah those Bafang mid-drive elitists are really annoying. Hub drives are perfectly fine.
@DudeStuff
Жыл бұрын
Nothing against mids just higher powered hubs are actually good in the real world.
I think hub drives can do most things & apart from massive downhill style jumps they good to go. I choose a mid drive just because it suits my needs and at 750watts peak 1000watts it’s more than enough, I don’t go over 25mph anyway as on a mountain bike that’s as fast as I want which is why I made front ring bit smaller and crank arms to have hill torque upped over top speed.
Nice bike
Need a e bike now
Jeez be careful on them test rides
Bro why dont you use 3000watts or 5000watts hub
Just wondering, when you did the top speed test and you said it was 39, is that in mph or kph?
Power should not be an issue for E Bikes! Cars aren't power limited but speed limited! Bikes should be speed limited as cars are but leave the power limit out of it!

The standard controllers are 40a you're not going to be able to put much more through the standard kit without causing issues and affecting reliability or longevity. Maybe 60 to 80a controller but you could cause damage to many things. The motor phase cables might melt. The bms might blow, the battery might struggle to pull thar current, the battery fuse might blow
