i never even considered listening to trance until i went to a trance rave for the first time... that night i understood and ive understood ever since. trance music is one of the purest sounds out there. not everyone hears the call.

Ajja is on point. There are so many places where (when a venue has to be used), the club/bar employees are just like, "please use us again!" There is one bar we continuously use in my area. The owner has explicitly stated, "You guys are weird, and interesting. Your music is weird and interesting, but there are never any fights. I freaking love you guys"

One thing that is commendable about guys from the psytrance scene is that they give zero fucks about the fact that they are aging .While in most other scenes people tend to drop out in late 20s /early 30s as they start to feel uncomfortable and somewhat embarrassed amongst the new generation of teenagers , the psytrancers keep on kicking till whatever age they choose to "retire" so to speak. And if they do so ,its never because they feel uncomfortable with their age as nobody will stare at them in a psytrance party .Thats because psytrance music is all about dancing and spiritual experiences (which actually the brain of a mature individual can better grasp) and has nothing to do with sexuality and looking to get laid like it does in many other scenes of electronic music. In which case indeed being old amongst youths just doesn't feel okay . Psytrance is one of the best and most liberating things of our age .

I've been getting into Psychedelic Trance music in a really big way, one of my favourite sub-genres of Psychedelic Trance music is Progressive PsyTrance, mainly because the steady groove and bassline make me feel like I'm going on a long intense Psychedelic Trip without actually taking any Psychedelics beforehand, in 2010 I got diagnosed with minor depression after having been in the rat-race that forces you into a routine of getting up in the morning, getting ready for work, having breakfast, going to work, coming home, cooking dinner, going to sleep....rinse and repeat, I got put on a course of 30 Sertraline GA SSRI tablets, soon after I started taking them I noticed a difference in my whole outlook, it was literally like night and day, I finished the tablets, and found that listening to PsyTrance music actually helped me to cope better in my day to day living, I've been off medication for minor depression ever since, life is awesome......

I'm in agreement with you on that point my friend, I think that I realised that the first time I had a psychedelic experience while at a trance party, it was like everything just fell into place and I understood at that point that what I was experiencing was something ancient and spiritual and no matter what name we chose to give it it was actually something much bigger than that and it was here from the beginning of evolution and would be here long after I was gone. Come to think of it that was a pretty good night out and was kind of hard to explain to my friends in the morning lol😎❤️

Chicago you're the man. I've been explaining this for years that this is the way of the shaman. Shamans used to dance around the fires and do rituals because they believed it strengthened the earth's immune system. It was a way of life, it us subconsciously carrying on the way. Trance music is a place where the human can go to, to communicate with thier soul. It's a place where the soul can become one with the body and the mind through vibrational frequencies. It's a place of therapy, in the world today we lose sight of our spirituality, our connection to everything and everyone and when we find ourselves in the middle of the dance floor, the soul finally speaks out saying you found me... I've been waiting for you and through that connection your soul grows with those around you.

To understand what the word "Psychedelic" means we need to first understand the origin of the word, it comes from two Greek words, "Psyche" meaning mind or spirit, and "Delaun" meaning to reveal, manifest, or make visible, so literally, the word "Psychedelic" means Mind Manifestation, when we have a psychedelic experience we experience it not physically, but in our minds.

Back in 2003 I was at my first open air, remember watching a live act by Xenomorph and his guitar. Just a prove how wide psytrance genre it can be... Psytrance concept is awesome, it promote many positive values. The freedom, the contact with nature, the dancing, the peace, tolerance, meditation, etc.. Definitively is a high energy music, for high energy people. There is only two things, i never liked in psytrance events: 1- you can see many drug-addicts who attend this parties, in many cases they don't even enjoy the music, they are just there because no one is going to point at them because using heavy drugs. It is ok, if people who wanna use some substance, the point is that the reason to attend a psytrance open air, is really to enjoy. Take a drug it may be part of enjoyment, but it shouldn't be the only thing to do at an open air. 2- Usually participants most of them are males, proportion male-female is unbalanced. I really enjoy the open air at mountains, not a very little crowd, neither those huge ones. Doing the camping at the open air is a great experience, when having visuals is great too.

In the late 90s and early 2000s psy Partys were much more peaceful. No securitys needed. A big family. Not too much people. I prefere a Party with 50 Goa Heads than a 10000 Festival.

Not really, for example, psytrance is my favorite genre of music and most of the time I'm sober listening to it and it still gets me dancing and zoned...you check? Sometimes I like to take drugs and it definitely enhances everything! Haha but too much of one thing is a bad thing...🤔😆😎✌️ But yeah trance has always been around and drugs too, so they are good together but can be enjoyed without one another as well...meditation definitely helps in all aspects of life...i can meditate to psytrance because I'm used to it so yeah, everything contributes to everything ✌️😎✌️

as ajja said its about the construction, the trance is something that grows over time, something yu almost having a sexual encounter with the music. it is a style of being not a music jonre, i have experienced street trance with drums and guitars played like fucking synthesises and to an imence level of intuitional structure. in the trance where your body dances its self, movement comes to you, that is where trance i inspired from, traditional indian, gypsy busking trance, slow trance and fast trance. its the trance not the content, if bob marley played non stop for 3 hours by the end you would be in a trance but that is inhuman so we have computers.
