Saw these guys live 5 days ago in a small ass venue with about 30 people in it. They killed it. Amazing band.

My physician suggested me this record to alleviate the neck pain! It worked 100% and Psycroptic gained a fan! I'd call that a win-win situation!

I had guitar lessons from Joe like 13 years ago when i was in high school.. gave me the best advice on scales ever. i didn't even get to play hardly. i wouldn't consider it a lesson, but more of a lecture on his playing style. a memory i would never forget. and it was only like $50Aud a lesson. Joe if your reading this, you are a ledged, and always will be a legendary icon in the metal community. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The most striking thing about this album that no one is mentioning is how much of a fucking return to form this is. Its exactly where they left off after Symbols of failure, it really blew me away to hear them get this sound back. If thats possible, i know deep down they could one day randomly pop out a scepter of the ancients style riff, that mechanical tremolo, where the guitar is just speaking foreign alien languages throughout the whole song.

Same here nr 1 album of 2022 Funny enough I went to their gig without hearing a song from them previously I heard Enslavement (now I know...) and was like WTF?!?! Mind blowing album on all levels!

Fantastic album. Not a single weak song! Divine Council is filled with bangers through and through.
Alll of their tunes are wonderful! I am really happy to listen to their music.
The tightness of this band is ridiculous.
I have been enjoying this album very much, it's excellent IMO.

The way they use some subtle symphonic arrangements and/or keyboards is just amazing and perfect. It just adds that detail that makes a difference. The melody in the choruses makes you believe they are actually singing even if they're not. One of the greatest bands of modern times !

Series oldschool vibes from this album, like "scepter of the ancients" and "isle of disenchantment" kind of vibes.

In Awe of this album thus far (about 70% through). I’m a longtime psycroptic fan who hasn’t been disappointed with the last couple records but also not particularly taken with them either. This has to be one of the best metal albums I’ve ever heard. All my compliments to the chefs In the kitchen on this one wow 😮

how the fuck have I never heard these guys? Fucking killer!
I remember around 2006/2007 they were meant to tour AUS, i bought a hoodie for Symbols of Failure from Post Mortem Records in Newtown Sydney. Same place i bought Scepter of the ancients before they were signed, so there are variations to the CD type and fonts in the booklet etc, not to mention they scrapped the artwork for Isle of Disenchantment and Scepter'. Anyway, that tour was cancelled, because Cannibal Corpse asked them to join their tour and the line of hoodies was canceled for their first global tour and now my hoodie is rare, but ive been wearing it for almost 16 years so its a little holey. The only difference is size of the CD cover on the front of the hoodie (and that its on the front in stead of back). I also got to see Cannibal Corpse in 2007/2008 at the Gaelic club on their first show in Australia since their 20 year ban because our country is so backwards...
more listenable and digestible than i was expecting

I love how clean everything sounds in Psycroptics records. Apart maybe the vocals in this one. But everything else is just the definition of crispy & transparent on the edge to dry. Nothing like most of the stuffed "brutal" records of many extreme metal bands today. (No offense to young bands intended!)

i hate when people are like "oh it sounds too crisp i dont like it." WHY THE FUCK WOULDNT YOU WANT A CLEAN SOUNDING PRODUCTION? i get that with older records the technology wasnt there, and some bands now are purposely sounding "older" for estique and thats cool too. THIS is the death/tech death i wanna hear. clean recordings of every part, cohesively put together correctly. this album does it almostly perfectly in my opinion. a little more bass would be cool but they obviously perfected the album to the way they want it and its one of the best sounding albums ive heard in a while.

Yes ive seen these guys live a few times over the years ...they never fail to deliver the technical proficiency and mix the brutality in to get the heads moving .🤟🤟🤟i live in gary Indiana so theres not many white people around me so everybodies always blasting rap or gangsta shit but i drive around doing my thing i for the most part have music like this just cranked up to 11🤟🤟🤟🎸🎸🎸...ive been pulled over by the police several times because my music is too loud as a matter of fact one cop pulled me over not to tell me to turn it down but who was i listening to lol at the time i was listening to polish power houses DECAPITATED!!! Turned out the cop was a MMA fighter in his spare time and loved listening totechnically proficient death metal like necrophagist of all people while training at the gym !!! ❤

@Blodia Punch After thinking some more these guys remind me a lot of the polish band Decapitated (very unfortunate what happened to them, by the way). Dissection is my fav band but they are more melodic metal. Cheers bro
