It’s so satisfying to see how hype he gets, especially when the beat drops. Love to see him totally get into it! He vigorously starts bobbing his head, puts on the “stank” face, and just rock out. GO OFF, therapist! 🤟🏾🤟🏾

Also don’t stress the long videos! The deeper the dive into the lyrics, the better. Most people, especially loyal nf fans, will watch a full hour breakdown if to goes that long lol. We love when majority of the lyrics and punchlines are caught and broken down! I don’t like when people make an 8min reaction to a song like this. No way to do it justice in that amount of time.

This song has lived in my head, rent free, ever since I heard it the first time. The lyrics from the second verse are literally a life motto: "The mind is a powerful place, and what you feed it can affect you in a powerful way. It's pretty cool, right? Yeah, but it's not always safe. Just hang with me, this'll only take a second okay? Just think about it for a second, if you look at your face every day when you get up and think you'll never be great, you'll never be great. Not because you're not, but the hate will always find a way to cut you up and murder your faith." The idea of loving oneself and trying to believe that you can, and will, achieve greatness is awesome. It's also an amazing bar to spit in a song.

First of all, great reaction to that cornerstone of the NF journey (at least it is for me). "Leave me alone" is some sort of continuation to this video. So please go there next and pay extra close attention to the music video. NF really likes to intertwine things between his songs. I don't know for sure, but I like to believe that the lady on the swing, whose burdens are still with her, represents his mother. "Change" is one of my favorites by NF, because it is like a blueprint of my life. You should definitely keep an eye out for that, too.

I have to say, man, I love your reactions and psychological breakdown of the songs’ lyrics/artists. What made me check out your channel is the fact that you don’t look like the typical rap reactor/dissector. You didn’t strike me as someone who even likes rap music, let-alone delving into the thoughts and psyche of the artists, and what they may have been feeling. I was WAY off on that assumption, lol! I was intrigued in what you would possibly say about a song in this genre. After watching, my conclusion was, you and your subject matter just reinforces the saying, Never Judge A Book By Its Cover.

Nate puts in his lyrics often how he wants to avoid the meds... he is perhaps relating the white suits as a patient that is using perscribed meds to cover up and cope with their traumas... as you will see in the next video Nate is concerned he will not be NF with the meds... also that was his mom on the swing... and in the next Leave me alone' vid you will notice Nate tapping on 2 young women sleeping on the ground in the latter half whom I believe to represent his 2 sisters...;)

This is part of my Emotions Explodin’ Relatives lyin’ Mama denyin’ Smoking crack , gettin’ high an … I hear heartbreaks in the background so I try an … Think I’mma fix it But there ain’t no fixin’ this ( WHOO !!! ) So , I’m in my room , chill there and sit Starin’ at the weather You see my eyes gettin’ wetter ?? Carryin’ boulders on my shoulders , wish I was light as a feather As I’m lookin’ in the mirror , I’m witnessing hell Deep in this demonic game , you can’t tell But that’s why Nate , the boat runs it , we’re unstrapped from the belt ( facts ) All this pain is just driving me insane , I just want to meet death But then I start hearin’ them say , yo Mali you the freakin’ best ( for real ?? ) So you already know Mali is gon’ come take everything out the bank ‘til there’s nothin’ left ( PERIOD !!! ) And that’s just part of it

I got so hype watching a "middle aged white man" get so hype with the beat drops! One of my faves from NF! The shopping cart represents the confines and limitations of his mind as it evolved from the cage/keys given to NF in Outcast " He is in a desolate wasteland (filmed in Iceland) that represents him Searching, on the move, for answers and healing. We see him get back in the prison of his mind at the end, it is both a protection and a bondage to be in his head. He is literally dragging his burdens (balloons) with him, afraid to fully let go. The bench swing was also in "Why" at the end. Not sure what it represents yet. The white suits will come up again on another favorite song on this album. More on that later. Looking forward to your Search on this album!!! 🔥🔥🔥💪🏼

I have to tell a little bit of my life story(sorry for misspellings, I'm from Sweden so haha) It all started when I was 15. I started drinking, tried drugs, had a lot of family problems and so on. My mental state just got worse and worse and by the time I was 17 I had a suicide attempt which broke down everyone around me. I would rather be dead than have to see how much I affected those people again... After this I was in a blur for about 1-2 weeks. Nothing felt like it was real. We all tried to lay all of that behind us, which actually helped me alot. After this I worked at a company that started my real drug addiction which seemed impossible to get out of. So I figured I would drink instead of taking drugs to get away from the cravings, and it worked... too good. So then I had to struggle with Alcohol addiction and are still. I'm making big progress now, I'm studying, have dreams and a beautiful girlfriend. This is a super short version of all that have happend. Anyways, I love how you break down the lyrics. Keep going :)

I love seeing professional therapists react to this because you can compare how relatable NF is since they probably have talked to thousands of people with relatable issues. I personally am lucky enough not to have these issues but it's always good to be aware of what others have gone through. Even if you don't relate you can still be an NF fan, that's how good his music is.

I always thought that was his mom on the swing with the long blonde hair. Change is a song on this search album. Please react to each song on search album. As a therapist you will truly appreciate his work. This album helped pull me out of a bad place To me that cart is a more portable version of his mind since he curled up in it.

This is why I wish people would just start with his newer stuff. All of his fans demand reactors to start from the beginning with him when you don’t even need to do that and his newer stuff is 10x better.

I gotta tell you, I’ve been watching reaction videos for close to 4 years now. And this one blew me away. After just listening to you break down “Hope” by NF and seeing how unbelievably hyped you were for that one..this one just made that particular one so much better. Really incredible man. Thank you so much for what your doing. If you need some reassurance, which I’m sure you don’t, you are helping me more than you know.

This is hands down the best reaction video I have ever watched for The Search. Your honest, joy-filled reaction was like watching a child on Christmas morning. 😂 I love your crazy insightful breakdowns of music. We should have to pay you for these therapy sessions.

Excellent reaction! Love the therapist perspective, the breakdown and the obvious openness to the fact that music can be a door that invites people through to explore themselves.NF keeps it pretty real and that's so relatable. ( Plus your personality is adorable). Enjoyed!

Words cannot describe how excited I am that you’re now doing videos on the search album!! Enjoy the journey, this album truly changed my life and can’t wait to here your input from a therapy standpoint! “Change” is my favorite song on the album, if it’s not on your list I would highly recommend that as an addition :) can’t wait for the next video, great job!!

I'll throw in my usual comment about checking out Aesop Rock's Shrunk and Kirby. He's very poetic in his raps, and metaphorical. Shrunk is his experience visiting a therapist. Love your stuff, keep it up.

After listening to this and other NFC’s songs he writes them through the lens of ocd. Talking very calm and clear then boom speed talking through multiple thoughts the calming back down. Absolutely brilliant.

Congrats on hitting 100k!! Love your reactions and breakdowns 🙌🏽✨ I have a suggestion that might help you for the faster flows when you’re trying to understand the lyrics: some people have the lyrics pulled up on their phone to be able to reference and look at (this will be a big help especially when you hit a few of his songs on the mixtape Clouds) & like everyone else is saying, if we wanted to hear the song with no pauses, we’d just go listen to it. We’re here for YOU and what you have to bring to the table in your analysis 🥰 you’re doing great! Can’t wait for the next one!
