Suga's verse is translated in a simplest way.. wondering what Suga said at 8:18 and 9:20 .. ? .. it's 'neaga' a common korean word for ' I am/me ' naega” or “내가” Means “I” in Korean, “niga” or “니가” Means “You” in Korean For example, a BTS lyric is “nasseolda hane niga joahadeon naro byeonan naega ”, in English this would translate to “You say I’m strange when I changed into the person you liked” (ref : fake love MV) Also korean language is one of the most oldest language on this planet that still exists..so don't mix it up with the n word guys..

The irony though is that Korean "naega" is thousands of years older than the current "n" word (that ends with "a"), which itself actually is a slang from the old spanish/latin word. So if anything, it should be the other way around, that if you said the "n" slang in front of a Korean speaker, they would think you were saying "naega".

And both this "n" word slang I'm referring to & the Korean word we're referring to sound so much the same that it's been mistaken thousands of times & thus why it's still a topic to this day all round the world wide webz, especially now that KPop has grown much larger globally since Gangnam Style 10 years ago.

I know you have a bunch of people correcting you in the comments, and they’re right about what the actual word you were hearing was. But I will say that you’re definitely not the only ones to be caught off guard when it came up in a Korean song. It can sound especially.. questionable.. when they’re switching back and forth from English to Korean a lot. Any time I introduce friends to Korean songs, I have to be mindful of when I may need to give a disclaimer 😆 But just know that from here on out, any time you think you hear the n-word in a Korean song, it’s not the n-word. Ps- I have no idea if there are Korean songs that use the actual n-word, but I’ve definitely never come across it.

In Korean the word "Naega" means Me. And the word "Niga" means You. It has nothing to do with the racist ignorant word some vile slave owner made up for black people in America. This is a word that we Koreans have been using everyday for thousands of years, long before the heinous "N" Word was created in the English dictionary.

I'll never forget the one time I listened to a BTS song and thought RM (one of the rappers on the group), when I was still new to them, I thought he said the N-word and gasped. Ofc it's not but can sound that way sometimes. I remember some of the times they had to cut out certain parts or change them because they didn't want to offend people on American shows since their music would be in the Korean language despite there not actually being any offensive words. Just knowing that alone, just know that they wouldn't actually say that word. I'm sure you do know but I liked the reaction regardless!

Hii.. I hope u guys read this. I just wanna say that, people hardly know this but BTS has a very strong Hip Hop element on their music, especially old school hip hop. 2 of the members came from underground rappers, and 1 from hip hop street dancer. So yea.. they're really good. And they really were and still are the students of the game. This list right here are some of their best songs and tracks. Please react to these : 1. *Monster* by RM (og track from Grown Simba, J.Cole) 2. *Hip Hop Phile* (here they pay homage to the legendss. Talkin abt Tupac, Biggie, JayZ, Nas, Rakim, Eminem himself, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg (also specifically talk abt the album Illmatic, The Chronic, Doggy Style and 2002 too) they also mentioned KRS-ONE, Kendrick Lamar, Gang Starr, Pete Rock, CL Smooth, J.Cole and a lot more. And they basically telling their stories of how they got deep into the culture). 3. *Cypher pt.1-4* by the Rap Line (straight up Cyphers, and pt. 1-3 they added some old school Boom Bap typa beat) 4. *Joke* by RM (og track by Run The Jewels, Oh My Darling) 5. *Born Singer* (og by Born Sinner, J.Cole) 6. *Agust D* and *Daechwita* by Agust D 7. *Persona* by RM (mixed of hip hop and a lil bit of rock) 8. *Sexy Nukim* by Balming Tiger ft. RM 9. *Ddaeng* by the Rap Line (traditional instrument, mixed with trap beat) 10. *Snooze* by Agust D 11. *Strange* by Agust D ft. RM 12. *Look Here* I suggest to check out the lyric videos, or MV with lyrics. Bcs their wordplay is amazing, and also deep. These songs right here serve Vocal, Raps, Lyrics/stories, instruments, just high quality productions. And honestly some of them are pretty underrated and TRUST ME.. just TRUST MEE You will love them Btw thank you

People who don't understand Korean culture won't understand the emphasis and the conviction with which Suga said "naega" which means (me or I). It's a way of conveying a strong message to your opponent about "who I am & what I do" when delivering the word in such a concise, clear, and convicting way. Watch Korean organized gangster movies (and there are a lot of good ones, btw, filled with grit & tension) one will see & hear "naega" being said with the same type of gritty emphasis & tone.

@@davethatuglyboi Just an additional note about languages in general, that when translating from one language to another, it is not always done word for word and it is not always in the same order/sequence as in English. For example, if I say ‘I am going out’ in my own language (not Korean), it is literally ‘Going out I’ (almost like how Yoda of Star Wars speaks lol). Also there are expressions that don’t make sense when translated literally, because culture is different, so translation has to be something else but equivalent or close enough to the essence of the message.

I saw that y’all said that you guys know he didn’t say it but I’ve seen a lot of reactions by different people who automatically assume that a kpop group said a certain word. Which is very frustrating simply because a lot of people seem kinda ignorant (this is general statement. Not saying you guys are because y’all seem chill) to the fact that English isn’t the only language that people speak and also how a lot of words in different language can sound the same and mean the complete opposite. I just wish people realize/educate themselves before jumping to conclusions.
