I love that, while PSY makes an obvious refrence with choreo to Gangnam style, Yoongi does it the same with Mic Drop when he says Players gonna play Haters gonna hate XD like Mic Drop says, haters always gonna be there but ya don't have to take note of them; here he emphasizes the same thing with a nod to the pandemic - 'you thought i can't continue with my carreer, but now look at me, im still kicking in the music industry, as is PSY' lol love him for that

To me, PSY means happiness. That's my definition of PSY because every time I listen to any of his songs I feel happy and energized, he's a human battery! And if you look at him live he dances everything with such power it's just incredible how he doesn't pass away with those hard, fast and energetic dances he does. This was the collab no one knew they needed, this song is legendary: SUGA and PSY together is just madness (the best kind of madness!!). Let's get LOCO!

Btw Suga's rap lyrics in the video is pretty simplified. Some people have translated it more specific and it actually goes like this: Hey, have you forgotten what I do for a living? . Even as time passes, I'm unchanging . . To the people who are watching me and who have been watching me all this while . As someone who takes punches well, those who have been trying their hardest to put me down (/hit me with their words) must feel so uncomfortable now Those times you wished I would fail has long gone Gathering everyone I'll lightly hit you I'm telling you enough is enough oh oh oh Just shut up and let's all just have fun oh oh oh Min Yoongi and Park Jaesang So like, actually the lyrics is pretty deep and applies both strongly to Suga and Psy

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. The Gangnam part might not be a reference to Gangnam Style. Gangnam is the half of Seoul that is south of the Han river. Gangbuk that he mentions right after is the northern half. There are also districts in their respective area named after them. Also right before that, he says "North South East West". So it is pretty much a call for everyone to join in.

It is so great to see finally see Psy again. And yes, his last release was back when he was in YG I believe with "New Face" in 2017. He started PNation in 2019 and has been helping those that are signed under him. It was time well spent since the album is great. On top of Suga, his features this time around include Jessi, Hwasa, Tablo of Epik High, Heize, Crush, and a few more. Heize, Crush, and Jessi all being PNation artists. My favorite of Psy's songs will always be Napal Baji. It is such a fun song. But Psy always puts out fun songs with easy-to-follow choreography. I know the success of Gangnam Style has haunted him for a bit since he could never really top such a breakout hit, so I hope this does really well as well.

As far as I know, the stage name "Suga" doesn't originate in Korean. It's a contraction of "shooting guard," a position in basketball. Min Yoongi likes to play basketball for fun and his position is shooting guard. So, shooting guard... shoo guar... suga. You can give it an English pronunciation.

Psy revealed in an interview today that actually Suga contacted him with a song he already had and thought would suit Psy. And Suga said in his Instagram that he just wanted to write the song and then run away 😂😂

I will add that the place fighting can also add to the 'passing of the torch' theme. Often within the older and newer generation K-pop fans they pit the generations against each other due to sales/popularity/company or even the jewer generationfans saying the older generations need to give space for the new artists to rise, meanwhile a lot of them are friends and get along well. This could be them poking fun that saying this is what you want us to do, but we're friends so we'll just chill here.

He has actually collabed woth Hwa Sa as well on this album it is amazing. I loved that song and PSY has such respect for Yoongi it is amazing ^-^ He said that Yoongi send that to him and that Yoongi wanted to collab with him and because PSY has his own Entertainment and we can see how kind he is :)

Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop. Secondly I love how he worked along with yoongi and got him not only produce but also to be in the MV but to also dance aswell. Yoongi id my all time fav rapper in the entire music industry and someone I can truly relate too. Thirdly I am in love with the cowboy concept and vibe of the MV and I have always loved the wild west vibe. The whole choreo is just like Psy (if you seen his earlier qork you will k ow what I mean) the beat is upbeat and just makes me want to get up and dance along and another thing "that that" chorus is just so catchy as it has been stuck In my head since I first heard it in the teasers. Also I was just smiling and laughing thruout the entire MV. Also it might just be me but Yoongi kinda looked like Tae in this MV too

I haven't really heard a lot of his stuff. Just Gangnam style and Daddy before this one. Only really listened to Daddy when I was playing Beatsaber. :) He does put together some pretty catchy and fun songs though.

The fake fighting was perfect. And have you seen Daechwita yet? definitely recommend. Also Ganji - Psy ft. Jessi off this same album.

I dont know if you really care that much, as a fairly noob to Korean from what I understand how you pronounced it is fine. In Korean the K and G sounds are the same consonant ᄀ or "giyeok" which make a more of a G sound when its first in the syllable and more of a K when its last, I think in SUGA its more of a G sound, even though in Korean it sounds like somewhere between G and K to our ears, compared to English speaking pronouncing of G or K in a word. If im wrong someone will correct me im sure and we can all learn :D
