I'm a student, and honestly watching this music video gave me enlightenment. I was so focused on finding a job and running after success, but this song opened my eyes. I guess it's like receiving advice from your grandparents... It shows the mistakes everyone does, so we can try to avoid them. I like how happiness was "around" when the character was spending time with friends and family and how it started running away once he started to chase it.

Extremely underrated song by PSY. Both the visuals and the song itself convey just how hard the pursuit of happiness really is 😔

This song is beautifully portraying the story of the household. The never-ending battle to find happiness and achieve goals to make everyone proud. In order to please others, we fail to spend our time with beloved ones. This song is so special and has a great message. ❤

I dunno, i feel like he never really pauses anywhere to let his happiness get settled. It seems like a commentary on how we naturally habituate to the things that once made us happy, and how happiness has become comodified.

This song did legitimately make me cry. This sums up almosy my entire twenties. I turned 30 this year. I spent such a large part of my youth stuck in the corporate machine, thinking one day I would me it to the top and be happy. You always forget that for every person that succeeds, many many more have to fail. I became a loner, an alcoholic, I honestly should be dead multiple times over with the decisions I have made. I quit my job, I now work as a chef. I reconnected with my family I had distanced myself from, I have a lovely boyfriend they now accept, we have a fur baby. I have finally found my happiness I had chased for a decade, it wasn't where I thought it would be.

I think the pursuit of any "idea" (success, or happiness) is never-ending. What really mattered were the moments along the way, the playing, the school, the family, the friends. Pursuing ideas is a good goal, but gratitude and presence in the journey is where happiness truly exists.

After watching this video again, I noticed even more bitterness and regret than when I watched it for the first time, and I believe its meaning even deeper than what PSY intended it to be... You only notice something is wrong when it's too late, and this video perfectly expresses the hopelessness one can feel when they've gone too far to go back on their steps. I hope we can all understand from this lesson, and grasp what we have and hold onto it forever, without being distracted by meaningless matters. This is my second time saying this, but thanks PSY and Crush !

왜인지 모르겠지만 제 삶이 투영되는 노래였습니다.. 아버지께서 돌아가시고 공황장애를 앓고 아내는 없지만.. 서울에 올라와 고향에 있는 어머니 동생과 살기 위해서 발버둥치는 제 삶이 보이는 느낌이라 뮤비를 보다 울었습니다. 지금도 공황장애와 다른 질병으로 고향으로 돌아갈지 고민중이지만.. 너무나도 공감이 되는 노래였습니다. 저도 사람답고 싶었고 누군가의 자랑이고 싶었고 누군가의 사랑이고 싶었습니다. 하지만 가사와는 다르게 마음의 병을 못 고치고 있네요..

예전 싸이음악으로 돌아온 것 같아서 너무 좋아요. 가사도 음도 모두 따뜻했던 싸이만의 음악 정말 좋아요. 앞으로 계속 새로운 싸이의 음악 많이 들려주세요.😊

韓国語わからないから歌詞の意味は理解できなかったけど、映像と歌声で泣いてしまった。 もうすぐ学生が終わって就職だけど、いつも僕を助けてくれた人達を、これからはもっと大事にしようと思った。

The music video brought tears to my eyes 🥺 such a light hearted representation of the hardships we each go through in our own lives, yet it also serves as a beautiful reminder that we need to open our eyes to see that happiness does exist around us if we choose to see it and be it. 네.. 동감합니다. 싸이님은 자칫 유머,재치만있는 분인듯 비출수있으나 어느 작사가보다 인간에 대한 이해와 애정이 있으신 분 같아요. 비단 남여만의 사랑이 아닌 다양한 관계에 대한 우정,애정,사랑을 포괄적으로 가사에 피력하시는듯합니다. 물론~ 싸이님답게!어렵지 않게!무겁지 않게!지루하지 않게!!! 전 싸이님을 철학자라 생각함요^^

노래랑 영상이 정말 위로가 되고 눈물이 나요.. 우리의 현실을 잘 나타낸 것 같아요, 행복은 항상 우리 옆에 았는데 우리는 언젠가부터 행복을 쫒는 노예가 되네요... 성공에서 떨어져 낙하하던 중에 줄을 잡았는데 썩은 동아줄인 것도 너무 감명 깊었어요. 누군가의 사랑이고 싶었고 아름답고 싶었고 사람답고 싶었다는 가사도 참 슬퍼요. 저도 요즘 행복이란 무엇 인가에 대해 생각하고 있는데 행운이든 행복이든 믿는 사람에게 주어지는 것 같아요. 노래도 너무 좋고 애니메이션 정말 정말 최고입니다 ㅠㅠ

This is my favourite song on the album, Crush’s voice is so soothing. The message behind this is so deep, he had happiness all along but he kept chasing after what he assumed was going to bring him happiness.

Y un día son viejos, y se dan cuenta que sacrificaron SU FELICIDAD por alcanzar una "meta" que ahora comprenden: no era una "meta de ellos, si no la impuesta por la sociedad ".

Couldn't stop remembering/thinking about '아버지(/爸爸)' whilst listening to and watching this; searching for the happy end, a satisfying conclusion, but it breaks my heart, truth, in a different way. Life's a funny thing; it gets in the way, and slips out of one's hands just as easily, doesn't it? May we all use what time we have to love truly others and ourselves as much as we can. xJ

Woww...this song has such a dark ending but it does happen. The ball of happiness could not be reached because he was too late and he died trying before he could ever get his hands on it 😶.
