PSX Longplay [259] Tiny Toon Adventures: Toonenstein - Dare to Scare!

Another adventure for the younger gamer. I played on Hard to add a little challenge, and challenge it certainly added with hours of frustration to produce this video.
The objective is simple. Activate all switches to provide power to the lift to explore another level, rescue your friend and find the code to the riches before escaping. On hard mode however, you have the spinner of despair which adds a few gotchas to slow the game down. The spin result is not random as they are predetermined since the start of the game. It does not matter which order you activate switches, the result of the spinner will always be the same order. If the spinner lands on Hamton, you need to go find him before you can take the lift to another level. If the spinner lands on Elmyra, then this is where the trouble starts. She is on the hunt and unless you can successfully evade you will get sent right back to the start and have to powerup the lifts all over again.
You will see me take the pipe often to go outside as I do this to try and avoid Elmyra. Finding the correct order to activate stuff to avoid her is where the hours of frustration came in. On the top floor you need to alert Elmyra in order o get her out of her lab. If you don't you get the alternate ending shown at the end of the video.
00:00:00 Intro
00:08:30 Floor 1
00:18:36 Floor 2
00:30:25 Floor 3
00:39:20 Floor 4
00:51:05 Floor 2
01:03:50 Floor 0
01:19:30 - Alternate ending if Elmyra finds you after finding her lab. I think this is a much better ending than the short and abrupt actual ending. -

I've been watching this LP for 20 minutes now and I have no idea what's going on.
I used to have this as a kid, made no sense then, makes no sense now.

@@warnerbrosanddisneyvhsdvdb9015 So, was it good ?
The original playstation statup screen and music gave me chills ahhh memories.
That was so disturbing when i was kid
As a child I played this game exclusively to watch the various animated scenes, since I had no idea how to play.
I rented this game when I was a young child like 20 years ago or so. Recently I’ve been getting into old school cartoons again and it made memories of this game resurface, and man, for a kid growing up in the 90’s this shit was terrifying. So terrifying that I think it was partially responsible for my absolute love of the horror genre today. I had to go through a list of Looney Toons games on Wikipedia to try and pin point it, and man, am I so glad that you made this longplay. I was worried I was never going to see game play of this again, so worried that I was questioning to myself if it even existed. Lmao Game made no sense to me then, and it still makes no sense to me now, and honestly, I’m perfectly cool with that. Thanks again for bringing back these memories.
It's been 43 minutes and I'm starting to get curious. When will the game start?
Damn, I had totally forgotten about this game. I played this shit when I was a kid.
This game must've set a record of the longest fmvs in a ps1 game
The music and aesthetics of the game always make me feel warm inside. Even today ^ ^
The intro sounded like something Terry Pratchett would write
Strange how the intro doesn’t even *mention* Furrball, much less why he’s there or how he fits into the story.

Which is weird because he does fit considering Elmyra is the villain. Furrball is the TTA character I'd see being part of this story, but it is headscratching why he's not introduced in the beginning.

He was shoehorned in at the last minute. The original game was just a point and click affair while Plucky and Hamton ran around and delivered one-liners. The developers realised this mechanic wouldn't make an interesting game, so added a silent character and made them playable, so they didn't have to waste time recording new dialogue.
20 years and it’s still my childhood video game.
To me, the only thing the game has going for it is the novelty of hearing Billy West as the voice of Hamton. He does a damn good job and I hope he reprises the role if Hamton comes back for the reboot.

The only thing I like about this game so far is that Furrball appears to be the protagonist! ...For some reason? This game is so...WEIRD, even for Tiny Toons! LOL
I sure do love tiny toons. Don't you?

Yes I do
There were Tiny Toons games released well into the Ps1 era and I do know they were showing it in reruns at the time. Last I knew of Tiny Toon Adventures was maybe 1996-ish on Nickelodeon, with their own intro added to the opening as I know them doing with a few other shows like Rocky & Bullwinkle and The Alvin Show (1960s Alvin cartoons, not the '80s/'90s series which I think they got later and run unaltered). Tiny Toons continued to get some airtime on Cartoon Network for a few more years in the late 90s-to-early 2000's, after reruns ended on Nick, at least that's how I know it. It was also rerun on Kids' WB syndicated weekday morning block at the same time.
38:11 "you know the more you turn on, uuuuh the more you turn on" What the actual shit...
This game almost seems inspired by Humongous Entertainment's PC games with the goofy machines you have to turn on. It reminds me of the nonsense that happens when you click around everywhere in those games.
never heard about this game before but it looks interesting
Did they just put Furball in the game so the player would have a character to control?
The ending rap was the only good part of the whole game.
This game scared the shit out of me as a kid.
i didnt know what was going on back when i was playing that .. still dont know to this day but it was fun. and i really got hit by nostalgia at that first person candle shooting game :D
I miss this game. One of those games that can be beaten under two hours. When I first played this, my English still sucked so I had no idea what the objectives were. Now... It's easy to understand
Thanks :) you helped me to complete my game!
I could never beat this game for some reason. I always figured I did something wrong. At the end I always got sent back to the beginning for some reason.

Ah... you must have walked into Elmyra's lab without luring her out of it first (which you did by turning on machines until you got the Elmyra event). That stumped me, too.
Weird to see Furrball be the main character
9:11 Furball! *Hugs him*
A Tiny Toons, Mystery Mansion adventure game with hybrid 2D/3D graphics? How have I never seen this before???
Furrball Kitty to the fray! :)
I see a Plucky duck and Hamtom pig
I came here to hear the credits rap song.

yup, me too
This is just a point-and-click game that should on PC, not PS1. Also, I don't know what's going on; the plot is confusing even by Tiny Toons standards.
Who came from Rerez?
So... is there some way you're supposed to know how to evade the baroness on the top floor, or is it just trial and error?
What did jacksepiteye said ?
Dang, I haven't played this since junior high!
I still prefer the Beanstalk one
spiderman 2 enter electro of psx
Ah, another bargain bin Tiny Toons game...

Furrball: A Beautiful 3D Character Hamton And Plucky: The Same 2D Characters Edit: It's Sad That Furrball Isn't On The Intro, He Appears More In The Game
I remember i played this once when i was 6 and i was transported to the very begining of the game, didn't know what happened then and i don't remember when i was killed and taken to the begining xD
Can someone give the lyrics of the song of the credits? Btw, the game is not bad.
This game is so weird to me. It's got a very unusual style of gameplay, it was made and released after Tiny Toons wasn't really relevant anymore, and it's just all around odd.
Bad ending better than the good ending? No way!
I'm glad I wasn't as dumb as I thought I was as a kid, the design is worse than I remember.
I love that game!!!

Konami totally didn't make these games, right?

Nope. Vatical Entertainment and Terra Gliph. I guess one is the developer and the other the publisher
Doesn't look as solid as the beanstalk game in terms of writing, graphics, and purpose
This game seems pretty bad in terms of actual gameplay, but the visuals are actually pretty fun. Although the lack of variety in animations and voice clips kills a lot of the fun once you hear all of them ten times.

Hubieran hecho un juego de plataforma habría sido entretenido usando el 3d de la ps1 supongo que ya estaba muy gastado la formula nes snes génesis ya tenían su juego de plataformas aveces ser original no es muy bueno ejemplo este juego.
wow i used to play (well, turn on and dick around for a while) this game all the time as a kid. God this sucks!
