I was in a very bad place as a teenager. As I lay in bed night after night, I asked God to show me the way, over and over again. Then one night, I heard as loud as if spoken in my ear but didn’t actually hear words, “read Psalm 19”. I got goosebumps from head to toe. I wrote down the Psalm # (I didn’t have a bible, nor had I read it, nor was I familiar with Psalms in the least) so I wouldn’t forget. I just knew it was important. When I finally got to read it, I was astonished… God showed me the way through the Holy Spirit. I still get goosebumps thinking about it… 40 years later. God is so good.

I could remember the last image in my dreams last night and it appeared to be as a fax a paper coming in like a fax and it read psalms 19 and I awoke. I love Jesus

Krazy. I believe you. I went on a spiritual retreat some weeks ago and promised God not to mess with horoscopes and other things but I checked out this video and on a comment for the video there was the words psalm 18 and here I am at psalm 19 after listening to psalm 18. And by the way 18 is my favorite number. Lol what are the odds!

To help people understand clearly the message of salvation and spiritual growth, we must focus on communicating God’s revelation in Scripture because: “All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately-behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17 AMP) “For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12 AMP) In order to know someone you must spend time with them. The same applies to knowing God. We must spend time with Him. We learn about His character, love for us, grace towards us, mercy available to us, and so much more by studying His Word. It’s through His Word that we learn to love Him and love others. It’s when we can help others to understand the importance of the Word that we can encourage them to study the Word, spend time in the Word, and grow to love the Word. It’s an individual choice. It’s only through knowing the Word that we will ever know the God of the Word. There are no shortcuts. Be Encouraged!

Every word is God breathed, and we need to make sure other believers know that. He speaks to us through His Word, and as He does, we should share the revelation He has given us. We should also encourage people to read the Word for themselves, because as amazing and deep is the Word of God, it is also very simple so that all can be fed. It is a mistake to depend on one teacher or preacher, to be fed once or twice a week. We need to feed on the Word daily, and for ourselves. Reading, meditating, and obeying the Word of God carries great blessing, but if we don’t know what’s in it, how can blessings come to us, or how can we mature as believers. The best thing one can do after falling in love with Jesus is to follow in love with the Word. After all, the Bible is the only book whose author is always present when one reads it.
