UK producer Psalm Trees (based in Rotterdam) and French guitarist Guillaume Muschalle (based in Paris) have never met in real life. They don't speak the same language so they let the music do the talking. While the screens of modern society can make the world feel even more isolated, an evident silver lining is the art of collaboration.
The duo's long distance album, We Must Believe in Spring, focuses on the collective instead of the individual. With a nod to Bill Evans' jazz album from the late '70s, the instrumental hip hop LP displays a positive message of art and collaboration and community. Twelve jazzy lofi beats contoured by chill vocals and ambient soundscapes. With this, we remain hopeful for the approaching spring of 2021. A new season, a new chapter, blossoming now.

Y'all should do a thing where you set up an email chain and one of you sends a few notes. Then the other person adds a few notes to that then sends it back. Repeat cycle until you have a full song

I never felt a love for a album like this one, waiting for lockdown end and times to come back to meet all the wonderous people in this world, like these two artists far apart but able to collaborate and create something so emotional and beautiful makes me feel some type of way words cant describe.
