This Bible study devotional covers Psalms 42 and 43. In this passage, a homesick and hunted priest begs God to be near him and rescue him from his enemies. But this priest can sing even in exile, because he trusts God to be his security and deliverer from his dark, stormy circumstances.

He willingly abandoned all comforts and let go of life itself, so that by rising from the dead, he could lead those who trust him to a home of life and joy with God.
