I have been a church server and an accompanist for almost 12 years now and sometimes I feel tired, lazy and get bored of the same music that I played every week, not until I heard this piece. The music where you're at ease, done with the pain and struggles in life, literal heaven like moment feeling. One of the many reasons why I still continue to praise his name. ❤

I am sorry I don't have the vocabulary to articulate how beautiful this song is. The blend of voices is so beautiful! Every time the soprano sings her line with the rest of the voices moving through, it's like a perfect marriage of voices. I also feel the presence of the LORD heavy on a lot of Heather's work. I believe we are getting glimpses into heaven. I would love to go back to school and study music and voice so I can properly articulate how beautiful these works are. Thank you Heather!

February 2021. One year of COVID. 500,000+ dead in the US, and what for? I miss hugs. I miss choir. I miss when we could sing together every Sunday. I guess it’s my way of talking to God. We don’t refer to God as he exclusively in our church. We usually change masculine pronouns to neuter pronouns, unless there is a way to call God “he” and one place and then as “she” in another. Often we repeat the word “God”. “God makes me lie down in green pastures. God leads me beside still waters. God restores my soul”, etc. I wish composers could do that more often.

Would just like to challenge your belief here. Does the Bible ever refer to God as a "she?" Sadly today, some of them do, but after studying the original manuscripts, I can tell you with absolute certainty that God is always referred to in the masculine sense. Why would we want to do any different with our music? At my church, we take the Bible as our sole authority for pronouns, not the latest fads of this world's ideologies.

@@aaronrobertson4979 God is referred to as female in the bible, which you should know if you have studied it as you say. "Sadly"? Not seeing the feminine in divinity has led to women being treated as lesser than around the globe. Yes, it means that much. People like what they know. You like what you know.

@@aaronrobertson4979 We have a whole denomination devoted to getting rid of masculine pronouns. The UCC put out a whole hymnal which has taken away the masculine pronouns. Or, if God is referred to as Father God, then God is also referred to as Mother God. Brian Wren is a well respected hymn writer who authored "Bring Many Names", a beautiful hymn that talks about God's many forms. If you believe that God is masculine only, then you are not allowing yourself to know God in all God's form. If you refuse to see God in the feminine then you are cheating yourself of knowing God better. I dare you to pray to Mother God. Not at all saying to do away with Father God, just expand your knowledge and understanding.
