This song is beautiful! I came very close to death last year triple bypass and an an artery ripped. I hemmoraged everywhere the Dr's can't explain how I didn't need transfusion and survived. I will forever praise God He is why I'm here still!

I had covid pneumonia in 2/3's of BOTH lungs. The doctor delivered the the news looking at me like I was a ghost, like I received a death sentence. I had no fear. After 1 week I was all better! God is faithful!!!! Also, for the most part, my healing was sleeping and eating, once I had my appetite back. Not much suffering except for the fever aches and pains which endured for 2 separate nights. You see, they sent me home from the hospital after 3 days. I unfortunately came down with fever after home 1 day and had to go back. For the most part, I was just bored. Not bad suffering at all. I hope that dr looked me up to see I got better quickly. I shouted to my husband to pray for me as they wheeled me away. Now I have natural immunity too!

I am left breathless! It felt like my cry! From the child sexual abuse that is more than anyone can think of to climbing up out of the pits of hell where my family left me at to now going back into a depression after 2 of my best friends died within less than a year of each other. When you sing "Because He delights in me" I started to cry because that's what the LORD would have certain people at my church speak over me and praying for me that brought me out of my last battle of depression. He does that you know, puts people in my life and sometimes perfect strangers to give me a word of encouragement that would help lift me up out of the deep darkness that the devil wants me to be. He knows that the LORD has something special to do for Him that the devil doesn't want me to do. "He set me free because He delights in me" That is so beautiful to my ears, mind, heart, and my soul. A promise that He's done all my life, even before the beginning of time. Now You have armed me with strength. And subdued my foes under me. Those who tried to destroy me and hated me. Are silent now, You've given me the victory. You delivered me from their hate. Blessed be the Rock of my salvation. And shows steadfast love. I don't know how to truly say how much I love Him and what He means to me. Even to this day when I find myself in a panic attack or the throws of PTSD, I can hear Him say, Markette, everything will be alright, over and over. And He's never failed me and never will. You hit a chord in me that needed to be hit and I am so thankful and grateful that you follow through on what He tells you to do. And for that I am forever grateful. Love knows no bounds!!!

Powerful. It is so much easier to memorise Scripture with music. As a child my mother told me nobody loved me. It was a hymn that reached the depths of my heart, as God planted the seed of faith. A song that told me God is my father,, who loves me with a perfect love. This psalm, He delights in me confirms this message , and is something we need to remind ourselves daily, and remember to delight in Him too. Thanks

Thank God that he does not reward us according to our righteousness. Our righteousness is incomplete. This is Jesus' prayer. He was completely righteous. God does not reward us humans according to our ability to keep his law. Then we would all be condemned. He delights in us in our brokenness. He won't leave us broken, but he does not love us for our righteousness. He loves us because he is the ultimate Father. His love is amazingly, ridiculously incomprehensible. He died for us when we were yet sinners. As he delights in Jesus, he delights in us. What a song to sing. He rescued us from our blindness to the fact that he has always delighted in us. In the light of the love story revealed in Jesus, this psalm derives its true meaning.

What a beautiful Psalm, reminding us that is by God's strength and mercy that we can live in victory, not by our own merit. The very last verse of this Psalm speaks of God's everlasting covenant with David and his offspring forever. When we look at our Savior Jesus, we are looking at the embodiment of God's care, protection and victory that He gave David in this battle with Saul. Hallelujah! And THANK YOU for setting this to your beautiful music!❤

I have always loved Zephaniah 3:17 because it says God delights in me. Thank you for showing me again (and from it, I discovered several other "delight" references) in this psalm. Very peaceful and relaxing. I have the song on repeat right now. Love the way the Lord uses you with these works.

Beautiful. One of my favorites. It gives such a feeling of protection and fierce love from God! And a motivation and encouragement that He not only protects us, fights for us, and hates to watch us suffer, but He also raises us up! He not only saves us when weak, He gives new strength!
