Much love to my Romanian Orthodox brothers and sisters in Christ ☦💟 I have a friend who traveled recently to Romania for business and I humbly asked her, if possible, to bring me back an icon from there. She is not Orthodox Christian and isn’t religious so I think the request took her by surprise (but not in a bad way and she is a really kind person). Well.....she brought me back the most beautiful icon and I have it hanging in my room. I love Romania and would love to travel there and tour monasteries and churches! ☦🙏

It is true that εξομολογώ in modern greek means "confess". However, εξομολογώ even though that in ancient greek we also find that meaning, it is not the only one. In fact, there is a unique meaning if we talk about the greek in the Bible, a special meaning which is not found in the ancient texts like the Odyssey. According to the biblical greek, εξομολογώ means "give thanks to (the Lord)"

As a Turk this is really wonderful music. I really like Byzantine culture and heritage on the other hand i accept it part of myself. im living in former Byzantine land, i have great respect for the history of Byzantine Empire.

The music is actual orthodox music, although it's rare to see it performed out of monasteries. And many jews used the Septuagint even before Christ.

@@simonleonidov5468 Ukraine is locking up priests burning churches and is no longer orthodox as per the government. Loads of orthodox priests have gone missing after the government shut down their churches many times burning them. I feel very sorry for the Ukrainian people because they are fighting their brothers for the interest of the Germans English and Americana.

I grew up hearing the chanters at my church chant this psalm in Greek. It’s one of my favorites. God bless all who listen to this psalm. 🙏🏻☦️💖

Anglicanism, Calvinism, Lutheran are the closest one to Orthodox if you looking at it. Catholic literally copied lithurgy from Lutheran :) Dont worry, we protestant dont put Pope and corrupt rome as our intermediaries toward Christ itself. Center of Protestant Church is Christ itself, No Rome, No Pope, No corrupt indulgence, just Christ ITSELF. So we already on track :) From Bataknese Christian, the only Lutheran and most loyal christian races on Asia

My dad was a byzantine cantor in the Greek Othodox church for many years. I remember as a child hearing him sing these words, just not in the same tempo and style as this. This is awesome, thank you _/\_

Jesus was not Greek just saying :D In fact if you follow Jesus you are netiher greek not jew said bible. As a Turkish Christian it make me sad to see how much so called christian greek hate their neighbour Turks while bible clearly order us to love our neighbour as ourselves and pray for those persecute us. Well also bible say Jesus gonna tell some people "i dont know you" so it make sense too

This is not a video game where everybody have a spawn point XD Also holding grudges is directly contradict christian world view so majority of greek christian when you put two of that together you get Jesus's slap

The Greeks are too our brothers and sisters in Christ. Peace and 🙌

The Grand Mosque of Cordoba was also changed to a Cathedral so what's wrong with Hagia Sophia being changed too? Eastern Rome fell in 1453 and the whole of Europe just didn't care. After all Cordoba is majority Christian while Istanbul is majority Muslim so there is no point in restoring either one.

I clicked the link, and was blown away. I listened it thrice. Then I clicked your channel, saw your other pieces. Listening to this I imagine the legionaries of the eastern roman empire. Singing this marching into battle against the empire enemies, asking god for help and glorifing his name. The priests giving benediction to the troops before the battle. Young soldiers anxious besides grizzled veterans, facing the enemy before being ordered to advance. This is my favorite go to Orthodox song on KZread! So incredibly well done! Always feel more confident and ready to take on the world with our Lord Jesus Christ after listening to this tune. I’d love a full polyeleos psalm version, but I realize that would be very hard to do. Your musical talent is so needed. Bringing these ancient sounds into our modern world makes such a difference :). Growing up my Pappou wasnt really religious at all but he prayed the prayer of repentance in Greek before he passed at 90 4 years ago, all glory to God✝️❤️

I am an American convert to Orthodoxy and I sometimes get to hear them chant this psalm while we receive the Eucharist! It is an incredible experience💗
