PSA Sabre Dagger Promo Initial Reaction : Will it be worth it?

To be clear i have no rights to the PSA Sabre Dagger and I have no relation to PSA. I am just a huge PSA fan boy. I've spent countless hours upgrading and tweaking the PSA dagger. This is my initial thoughts and reaction to the PSA saber dagger promo footage that was released earlier this week.

The PSA Dagger is my favorite pistol. So when PSA announced the "Sabre Dagger" premium line, I was incredibly excited. Earlier this week, PSA released more promo footage of the sabre dagger. I was shocked how similar it was to the one that I custom upgraded, of course theirs is night and day better.
In this video, I'll analyze everything we know about the Sabre offering from that promo video, and compare it against the base PSA dagger that I upgraded, as well as share how much time and money it cost me to upgrade the base dagger, to help level set the value proposition of the Sabre Dagger itself.
tldr; In my opinion, PSA knocked it out of the park with this one, I'm really excited for the launch next week. You really need to pay attention as I think these will sell out instantly.

$629 is what’s is listed for right now Titanium nitride barrel and comes with two 23 round mags and a nice Sabre bag. Unfortunately they are supposedly already sold out 😩
Oh man, the woodland camo version looks amazing! I’m actually probably most excited for them releasing their extended baseplates.

Looks like the m81 cerekote sabre dagger retailed for $629. That's a steal for that price in my book.

Lol! The Magwell. I just ordered one of those new aluminum magwells yesterday. I had one from Harrington Arms for my dagger. It wouldn't get flush no matter what I did, then the aluminum on the magwell stripped when I tried to clamp it down. Hope the Grit Grips one is better.

Dang man sorry to hear that. Mine fit perfectly. Are you sure you bought the right magwell? The one for the dagger compact (19 sized) is different than the one for the full size dagger frame (19x sized)

Yeah, the Magwell 3:55 for 35 bucks is a big deal. No point to buy an SLR rifle works at $90. Some other manufacturers are gonna have to come down in price because essentially it’s probably gonna be just as good. I have had so much fun tinkering with my daggers. They’re a good frame and they’re good foundation to start offlearning some stuff and getting more proficient

I think it's rebranded GG magwells, their aluminum one is also $35. I have the plastic version (before they were made with aluminum) and it's a great magwell
did anyone have any problems adjusting to the suppressor height sights? Felt so weird I had to make the front sight raise a little higher than the rear to hit shots in A zone

This was pretty normal on the base dagger ameriglo sights too I thought IMO. I ended up putting a red dot on so it wouldn't matter
I was able to get one but they were sold out 10 to 15 minutes after they went live...
Great video! Are the current or Sabre Dagger barrels cold hammer forged?

You know I'm not sure but I don't believe so based on psa's item descriptions but they've been pretty tight lipped about the sabre line so we'll have to wait and see!

@@tonyyy2555it's anyone's guess. So this is my guess. I'm guessing it will be priced competitively with the the Shadow Systems MR920. The MR920 retails with an MSRP of $799. I wouldn't be surprised if the most basic sabre dagger, like their all black configuration, then comes in somewhere a little cheaper than that. But it's like playing price is right, I have no idea.
On their blog it says it will be 600 bucks

Is it? All the options I saw are threaded (which wouldn't make sense with porting) is there maybe a ported option?
Snagged a woodland version today at launch. Website was getting hit HEAVY. Struggled for 20 mins

I don't believe on day 1, but they announced the Micro "Switch" i believe it was called, which is a chasis based dagger micro (think p365). It'll have grip modules so it'll be super customizable, they're even talking about having an aluminum grip module. Thats the dagger im really, really excited for lol

I saw a video from PSA shot show booth they said around $700. I honestly don’t think they would go for more than $799. Personally I wouldn’t pay more than $700 for one. With the 19x mos at $600.

Never been a fan of people’s custom stippling. Also I respect someone who buy what they want and are content. Some of use just keep buying.

Hahaha I never said it was, I built it before the Sabre dagger came out, but that's my point, the sabre dagger is a really good value at even $300 more than what I put into the base model (and I invested $500 total including the base pistol, so at $800, it would be worth it to me, but im sure it will come in less). The point of the video is to show the value proposition of the new dagger versus trying to upgrade a base model yourself. IMO you're better off getting the sabre dagger, but i leave that up to the viewer.
