The PSA vs SGC debate is only pertinent for in the moment ultra modern cards in my opinion. It only matters because, as I stated, were in the moment with it, the product drops and the market is flooded and you can be picky and choosy with what grade you want and what slab you prefer. But once the truly rare and desirable cards dry up, it doesn’t matter. For example, A Ken Griffey Jr, 2002 Topps Pristine Gold Refractor serial numbered out of 70, doesn’t matter if it’s a PSA 9 or an SGC 9, there won’t be any price difference because they are rare, hard to find and don’t pop up for sale often. Similarly 10 years from now there won’t be a price difference between same graded SGC and PSA slab prices when you’re trying to find let’s say a 2021 Gold Prism /10 of a particular player that you’re looking for because there will have been none for sale for the past 3+ or more years and when one does pop up for sale, you’re not gonna care if it’s in a PSA or SGC case because it’s the only one to hit the market in 3+ years and you can no longer be picky and choosy about what slab it’s in. And neither will the numerous other buyers also interested in that same card when it pops up. Obviously the market prefers PSA for ultra modern and if you’re flipping current product then PSA is it, but once the truly rare and desirable stuff has come and gone, and a few years have passed, and there hasn’t been one for sale for 3+ years, the slab, wether a PSA 9 or SGC 9 won’t have a price difference.

I find myself using SGC on almost all cards I’m planning to resell for $15 right now cards have come back to me in as early as 10 days I can quite literally grade a popular modern card, sell it, buy raw on the same card, grade that one and receive it back and sell a 2nd time before my PSA order gets to grading not to mention it cost more at PSA. I know PSA returns value more but something to be said for speed and the profits can be great on SGC buying the right players in my experience

If they can catch even 5% off the 15% on average right now it is the wrong play to wait for PSA when there’s only a $10 difference on a $100 card that you can guarantee do 2 SGC of the same card as the one waiting in PSA which in turn is $80 profit with SGC. SGC has stated they keep eye appeal in consideration. Some psa 8-9’a might get SGC 9.5s because the card still looks very nice and you can’t see the one or two issues unless you are using a loupe/monocle. SGC overall, is a lot more consistent. Bro what? Go with PSA I guess than. The company that has slabbed more OC 10s than any company in the business. 60/40 on a gem mint is laughable.

2 of my favorite KZreadrs! I will have to disagree with MY experiences with grading. I have noticed and feel that SGC is more lenient at all levels. I have seen it myself, others videos, and eBay auctions. I know my take will not be popular because of all the PSA hate! lol I take great pride with my preview grades vs grades received in my reveal videos. I feel PSA is doing a great job....at least with my submissions. I have seen too many SGC cards that I feel are at least a grade too high with vintage and newer cards. It was actually proved in this video where PSA downgrades because of surface issues and indents but SGC decides to "overlook" these issues and in my eyes over grades the card. How can a 9.5 have surface issues like some of these cards in this reveal? PSA gets such a bad rap for being tough, so people use SGC and get cards that I think are overgraded (not always) so it compounds collectors feelings. I feel too many collectors think THEIR cards are all 10s and 9s and over look the issues on the cards. Im no PSA snob as I do like SGC and hope they do well. Competition is great and needed! littlevictories basically states they grade newer cards easier by one whole grade.....and I really do think the same is true with some vintage. This is one of the reasons they don't command the same prices as PSA. I am sure I will get beat up with my take but I can take it ha ha. I would love to have an honest conversation about this matter. Both of you keep the content coming. I truly enjoy you both!!

@@3gslabs483 for me it’s the ups and downs between PSA orders that is not acceptable. I’ve cracked a vintage PSA 6 (same card, which I graded), sent it back in and got a PSA 8. This to me equates to a fully broken grading process they are using. I’ve done similar snapping and resubmitting with SGC, nothing ever like that. PSA is addicted to rejecting cards, send them in another PSA order and they get graded. Completely unacceptable lack of consistency. My biggest PSA beef! I still love my PSA graded cards!

@@littlevictoriessportscards197 I like SGC think they do a good job, with the vintage cards. I am more of a vintage guy, but ironically it's only PSA that has, the set registry which for them is a W. Because wealthy people buy those older cards in great condition. Really believe SGC is making a mistake in that regard
