Scuf Reflex Pro (L2 broke in 7 months), new Scuf reflex FPS, Hypr controllers FPS version and two aim controllers with 4 paddles and not other mods (various issues with these). Not looking to buy anything elsw but yeah. Hypr is nice and worth the money. :) Still use scuf reflex fps though. It is better for my hands (paddles instead of back buttons compared to hypr).

Wow I had the exact same problem but during COVID. It took them 6 months to send my controller back. Than it fell from my couch and it never turned back on. Sent it again took then 3 months that time to send it back. It worked great for like 3 months. Than got stupid stick drift. Tried to send it back and I was told the controller no longer had warranty. My warranty went to waist them taking 6 months the first time. I trashed the damn controller and bought and Xbox elite. Never going back. Was thinking about getting a ps5 controller don’t like 2 non programmable buttons on the battle beaver so thought maybe scuff got better but I see they didn’t. Definitely not buying now, sticking to Xbox elite. Thank you for your honest review!

I’ve taken apart my other Scuf controllers with fps buttons and reinforced some of the components to keep from breaking. The design is simple but fragile especially if you’re sweating.

I appreciate your perspective on the controller. Personally, I’ve had my scuf impact for 3 years. I’ve played hundreds of hours with it, and it still works great. I just ordered this reflex fps because I’m upgrading to ps5. In my opinion, it all depends on how hard you are on a controller. My homie went through 3-4 scuf impacts because they had awful stick drift. He never abused the controllers, he’s just hard on them. I think it may be when you press the analog to sprint thousands of times it wears it out. I’ve switch to auto sprint. So, it varies person to person

I was a huge SCUF guy growing up. After going through 3 controllers that kept on either dying or multiple stick drift issues. I went to CINCH gaming in 2019 and have never looked back. My ps4 controller is still in mint condition and never had an issue. I also have a ps5 controller with all those features you mentioned for only $200.00. Look at smaller companies my man they pride themselves in quality control and a stick shift never ending warranty. They will change it till the end of time.

I’ve had a scuf pro fps for a year now I never had any problems with it just like all my other controllers i’ve never had stick drift just put the remote down when ever you want to throw a fit

SCUF has been plagued by reliability, quality, and quality control issues since forever. Their controllers look cool, and they're hella customizable, but I wouldn't drop $300 for anything they sell. Ive modded three Dualsenses so far, and I've never had an issue with any Extremerate parts. They're cheap and reliable.

When I get drift, I pop the potentiometer off the side barely and either clean the inside where the contact happens or swap the potentiometer metal internals (no soldering). Ready for hall effects to be readily available and designed properly as that will be the better solution to drift long-term. The biggest issue I have with both of my Reflex controllers is the controller not working while mid-game. In COD, it would shoot 1 bullet and auto-reload and character becomes limited entirely. At one point I was unplugging it and plugging it back in to fix, but another reflex owner has the same issue and mentioned hitting the paddles on the back and the same time fixes it. In a gaming session of maybe 4-5 hours, happens VERY OFTEN. No idea why it does this. Love the paddle design, but it's this issue is HORRIBLE. I talked with 2 others who play COD regularly using this controller and they also have the same issue (hitting paddles in back at same time corrects it) and my two controllers both having the same issue makes me think there is a core flaw.

I haven’t really ran into issues other than stick drift. Maybe I was lucky. There quality control is way better ever Since Corsair took over

That would be sick, but sounds expensive. Too many moving parts in a controller, which isnt consumer friendly since the controller has a higher chance breaking down on you.

The dual sense edge is kinda like that

I have the edge and reflex , I feel as the edge is more responsive but I loveee the reflex both very good controllers but the edge has the edge for me because you save sooo much money I had stick drift with my scuf and sent it back it took about 1.5 months to comeback..

For me it’s the opposite. My scuf feels more responsive than the edge. You okay mostly on ps5?

SCUF doesn’t have any control over stick drift the modules are Sony parts. The whole main board still factory Sony

What was your button layout?

Which controller do you see better this edge, or some other of the brand aimcontroller, scuff reflex, competicontroler or some other brand of controller with levers, it would be for shooting games

Have you thought of building it yourself with a eXtremeRate kit? Super easy and better than edge in my option. Kits like 45$

Does the warranty cover the stick drift problem?

- what’s the battery life on the reflex fps? since it doesn’t have the haptic triggers or rumbles in i thought it would last longer than the 4ish hours the regular dualsense/ edge has

@@CarolinaBlood704 Oh yeah, Scuf sent me a brand new controller back, and they did it very quickly too! It took less then three weeks from the moment I submitted my request to the moment I got the new controller. Keep in mind that I am talking about European service here. Also, the new one hasn't had any issues so far.

Fast forward 8 months… same issue on the other stick, and the warranty is now void, of course. No words, really. I would only recommend Scuf if you are willing to spend $200+ every few months on a brand new controller.

I’m trying to get a scuf

Mine just arrived yesterday. The d-pad feels like it is sticking and the right arrow misses a lot of light input. It requires a lot more force than the other buttons. Is the rubber membrane supposed to feel the same (as firm) as the DualSense? I really want to give it a shot if this isn’t the case, and considering a replacement/repair and don’t want to eat the 15% restock fee if they don’t deem this as a defect. What are your thoughts?

Sounds like you have a defected controller. I’d say send it in.

When im turning right stick slightly to right, my aim snaps to left. Doesnt matter what deadzone im using. About to send it back to scuff for warranty repair, hopefully i’ll get it back faster than in 2months lol

I feel like the dualsense edge and victrus pro ps5 controller are much better value than the scuf controllers. Also, coming from an xbox elite series 2, I despise the way the back buttons are arranged on the reflex pro

Its a shame scuf cant get the stick drift issue fixed. I absolutely love my impact but i got to enjoy it for like a month before i got stick drift. Got it fixed and it lasted like a week. Great controller but if its not gonna work im stuck using the elite with my pc

Wait for my review on the DualSense edge first. I’m getting the controller 10 days earlier from release. But I love my scuf but if you’re on a budget, Hex controllers on Amazon are 200$ and have all the features a scuf has minus the four paddles. Another one my buddy just got is Victrix Controller, he says it’s a good option if you want save 30$ and benefit from the four paddles.

I really don´t understand the hype about these Playstation Scuf controllers. They are simply 1st party controllers pimped with non OEM parts and sold in some places for 5 times the price of an original DualSense or Dualshock4. And the thumbsticks are resistor based instead of magnetic which is starting to become common in some controllers. Sony even launched their own back button attachment at a fairly low price. People are paying more than 200$ for 4 paddles and clicky buttons mounted on a 1st party controller that doesn´t solve stick drift. At least the DualSense Edge has a more or less practical solution to the stick drift problem.

my father knows much about technology and controllers he repaired 2 of my controllers so im not really scared to buy a 300 dollars controler

Most of these comments are people saying they’ve had to send it back don’t wanna spend £250 on a controller that takes 2 weeks to arrive and for it to have issues and send it back and wait another 2 weeks

Not anytime soon. Took them two years to come out with a ps5 scuf controller. They come out with new controllers every 3-5 years tbh.

Tbh, the stick drift may have come from swapping the thumb sticks in and out.

Probably cause you play with cable might of messed up the battery

I bought my SCUF just over a month ago, and I am already having to replace it, but this time I’m trying AIM. The stick drift is terrible, buttons are sometimes unresponsive, and I’ve completely lost power to half my buttons mid game multiple times. SCUF controllers have so much potential, but the quality and reliability just isn’t there.
