Hi, I followed all the steps and my camera shows up under cameras in device manager but when I try to use it I can select it but there's nothing that shows up for example on obs not even a black box will show up for the video and I can't configure settings or anything

Yes, unfortunately, the same thing happens with my Logitech webcam too, they need a better app or chip inside to save the settings, however, my Logi is C920, so maybe the new ones are better.

And you followed every step? if yes, close OBS, re connect the camera and give it custom resolution again.

Hi, that usually comes to issues with connection to the camera, the only thing I can recommend is trying another USB 3 port and load again!

Can’t run OV580 USB Camera updated, needs an app to run it says? (Tried with administrator as well) UPDATE: it was being blocked lol but is now fixed!

Hmm, how many USBs does it have? Try another USB 3 port.

Hi, no it works with any app, on OBS you can get to that setting too as shown in the video.

I followed the steps, but the camera setting were grayed out in OBS. I tried uninstalling the app and drivers, resetting my computer but no luck. Also, the computer doesnt seem to recognize the camera in USB 3.2 Ports for some weird reason. My computer only has 3.2 ports.

Hi, that's the issue if it doesn't say connected to USB 3.x Try another USB port because if it's not connected truly with 3.x it won't work

Thanks for the tutorial! Oddly though.. Everything seems to check out and it is recognized in device manager and OBS~ but I cannot get the video to appear when selecting the USB Camera-OV580 device in OBS Studio. Any solutions to this?

Hi, I recommend restarting the PC, and redoing the process with a different USB port. it happened to me once and fixed this way.

Has anyone had luck getting this to work with Discord and other apps like OBS? The Windows camera app recognizes this PS5 camera in crystal clear quality, whereas discord is very glitchy and dark, and OBS is similar as well. Would love for this to work with Discord if anyone has any thoughts!

Hi, if you noticed the OBS section in the video, I showed how to make it bright, as for Discord, you can use OBS virtual camera to fix the issue, I might make an update video for that soon.

I have it plugged into my pc and it shows that I have it plugged in but for whatever reason it shows no video and when I do a webcam test it says its blocked. I checked the privacy settings and its all allowed.

Hi, my camera doesnt seem to work but i have followed all the steps correctly. I missed out the Nvidia step because my graphics card doesnt support it but other than that everything is exactly as you did in the video. It says that its working on device manager but when i try to actually use it, it just shows nothing. On OBS it shows a black screen and on discord it shows a constant loading logo. Im using a USB 3.0 port connected directly to my pc and ive tried multiple different ports that work fine with other devices. I had no idea what the issue is so any support would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I'm not sure why the driver doesn't work fine on some PCs, the only things that come to my mind are deleting the driver, updating Windows, and reinstalling it, as I tested it on both of my PCs and Laptop it worked so I couldn't investigate in the driver issue, I also tested it once again recently and it was working fine!

Hey great vid! Question though, I skipped the Nvida test.. is that an essential step? Cause I went straight to obs after I saw cam was in device manager.. also when cam was in dev manager it never lit up .. help if possible ty!!

Hi, no, Nvidia is just a way to have a virtual camera, if it doesn't show up, ensure it's connected to USB 3, also from bluetooth and devices section, and try another USB 3 port if possible.

I just get an error trying to load up the eye cam loader

mine is not working it wont let me change the brightness

I followed every step outlined but it just doesn't want to transmit video in any way, obs won't register it and neither will discord, it's showing in the usb list, I've downloaded the files and run the updater, everything is in the same folder, but it's just not working at all

Hi! Have you tried connecting it to another USB 3.0 port? Before that you can do a restart after driver installation too.

I keep getting an error when trying to run OrbisEyeCameraFirmwareLoader, saying that an unknown error jur jur phase 2 read failed received 0 bytes instead of 512. right before trying to open I have installed the driver from the OV580 USB Camera updated and of course plugged the camera in. Any suggestions that would possibly help with this issue.

Hi, that's due to USB speed, did you make sure it's connected to USB 3.0 in bluetooth and devices? did you try another USB 3 port?

Hi there my friend, great video. I'm just having trouble on step 7. Every time I click firmware loader, it doesn't load. Just a pop up for 0.1 sec and goes away, i can't read it cause it is too fast. I downloaded a different file loader app because before it said i needed one or something like that. Please help me set this up cause i don't want my camera to go to waste.

Hi, that loader is like that just a cmd command, after that, you should be able to see the camera as OV580, if not, change the USB port and try again

for some reason the camera isn’t showing up on my obs. i have a capture card from my ps5 showing on my obs but everything was right it just isn’t showing up on obs. is it bc i have 2 sources?

Hi, you can add another source, the main question I would ask is did you connect it to a USB 3.0 port and does it show connected to USB 3 in Devices section? if yes, then you should be able to make it work. you can also send a picture of your problem to discord so I'll check it further.

Hi, so far I've got mixed comments from people, 50% say it works and 50 say it doesn't, for me, it always worked and when it didn't there was an issue with the USB 3 port, switching ports may help, but as it's not an official driver, it may not work for every setup.

Thanks, currently, I don't see any driver for MacOS on Github, unless someone makes one for it, it won't work correctly on Mac.

I followed the instructions and it works, but the video lags a lot. At a lower resolution it becomes somewhat stable but not even remotely fluid. what could be the reason?

Hi, I can't be sure why this happens, did you set a custom resolution and follow all the steps? for Twitch, you can use this video (is for Discord) but it is usable for all apps if you need to use the camera directly: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n5Zh2pp-ZpbUiMo.html

Hi, trying using the PS5 joystick microphone. It works for me, but the first time, doesn't work for the USB port. I use the cabinet's port, and the joystick only show the orange light when is in charging mode (and the microphone not appears in the device list). Then, I put in the USB ports of the motherboard, and works perfect. I hope this will be useful for someone.

Hi, first try another USB 3 port on your PC, then try reinstalling the driver. this error usually comes to an issue with the current USB port.

Alright, I got the camera to work, but now it's just black and no picture is coming up. And when I go to the camera properties, it doesn't let me adjust any of the settings. @@DanielZH

OBS doesent let me change the exposure and stuff also when i try to turn on the camera in discord it just loads infinitly, Im using a ps4 camera wich is more like a stick version not the one shown in your video maybe thats the problem, becouse everything think else seams to work like the boot device visable in device manager and im using USB 3.0.

I thought Sony made every all of their devices encrypted with their secure chip, but I guess it is controller only. because I think USB 3 bandwidth costs too high to encrypted with their own chip with limited usage. By the way, it is the cheapest stereoscopic(3D) USB camera available on the market I believe.

And also, two images is also can be cropped persicely with source edit transform(ctrl + E), the image source is 3840*1080(two of 1920*1080), so, crop 1920, then It will be 1920*1080. so just 1 image.

Hi, did you try another USB port? as I don't have access to your PC, I can't be sure what is causing this issue.

When trying to change the parameters in Nvidia broadcast the options are greyed out. I've checked and it is connected to a USB 3.0.

The PS5 camera doesn't have microphone, about the PS4 camera, I'm not sure since I haven't tested it, see if you can add it as audio capture device?
