Sony and Xbox are useless consoles. In the past consoles we're good enough now consoles are so inferi9r to pc and so few games are exclusives that consoles are useless. Heck u can plug a custom pc to a tv too so who cares The only usecase for a console is 1 casual gamer 2 someone who can't afford Nvidia insane graphics card prices Otherwise pc all the way

Costco sells tons of cheap old 4k tvs sure not the best refresh rate but if ur not a high fps shooter etc gamer who cares I know people that burn 300 on their truck gas or grass or drinks a week. So it's not Un affordable people just have diff priorities

PSP was my first gaming console when I was a kid. Haven't had a Playstation since especially a non handheld one. Gonna buy the PS5 Pro and will be sticking to the Pro versions of the upcoming PSs too! Unless I have the money to buy both the standard and the Pro version or maybe 3 inc. the Slim!

Can’t find anything on rumoured storage anywhere. 2TB would be a nice addition.

What about connections? Any upgrades?

The day I’ll be able to play 4k with ray tracing at a 60+ fps is the day i’ll be upgrading

I'm still clinging to my launch PS4 because the first two PS5 iterations failed to capture my heart. Hopefully, the PS5 Pro will.

I’ll probably still get one, Plan to build a mini ITX build but not for a while so a more powerful PS5 is a good stop gap especially as I have an LG C2 OLED so 120hz 4K etc so can take advantage of it.

So this is what I needed, thanks for the video update. Now I am more confused with the waiting. As you mentioned 2 major requirements Game and TV I'm not sure waiting is a worth because my tv support only hdr 10+ and refresh rate 50hz, ALLM, HGiG, and thankfully as mentioned gta will run on ps5. But still I'm confused. Should I wait?

I might upgrade to the Pro but really want something more portable to bring on long work trips. So, I might go with the slim instead.

If the 8K compatibility rumours are true It's definitely gonna be a purchase for me. I bought an 8K TV about a year ago now and have literally no content for it. There's only so many 8K videos you can watch on KZread. There really is no reason to own an 8K TV currently and I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't discounted to the point where it was cheaper than a different 4K model I was looking at.

@@amaximus5753 8k output I assume will be focused on streaming movies. The ps5 pro won’t manage 60fps at 4K Native and certainly not 8k. Only a few gpus which are several times more powerful than a console can do this. 120fps on native 4K is 4090 performance, but can also do 8k mods at photorealistic at 8k using frame gen and dlss. The power of NV.

Skip the PS5 Pro this holiday and get the PS5 Pro Pius next year. It will play 16K content which will look amazing on your 8K TV.

Marvels Spider Man can run 4k 60 fps with Ray Tracing on the normal PS5 right now. I play it like this all the time. Even the Matrix demo was 4k 60 with Ray Tracing

Hardly powerful, slight exaggeration by today’s standards, but it’s like all consoles, no fuss just plays games. Unfortunately mostly at 30fps on quality mode which is still upscaled.

I have a normal ps4! some of the loading in few games was crazy!!...So I caved and bought an external SSD Which cut loading time by 65~75% in some games!! The assassin creed valhalla - fast travle 1 min 0.0 cut down to 13~18 seconds! I had a feeling that like the ps4 pro there will be a 5 Pro! glad I waited ^_^

Okay so im planning on buying a PS 5 since I travel a lot and can’t travel with a pc. I dont have any 4K TV only a 1080p 240 hz monitor. Will the upgrade matter or is it okay to just buy a Slim ? Since I play on pc I don’t know much about the performance the different resolutions have when compared to each other.

QD-oleds are better than W-oleds. As for size, it's entirely dependent on how far away you are from the tv/monitor

Absolutely! Anything compatible with HDR10 would be sufficient which means it can at least produce 1000 nits of brightness in HDR mode, which is a common standard in almost all new titles BTW I have an LG C1 myself and it can still get pretty bright

Actually no. Most ps5 games are literally ps3-4 era ports. They go crazy over games like red dead redemption 1 which you can already play.

@@chanzkallstrom2892 all the games running 1080p or lover to reach 60fps. Some even run sub 720p to get to 60. The base model simply isn’t powerful enough to run modern engines with features and resolution turned up.

So unless we get a 8k tv the ps5 wouldn’t be worth buying? I’m still debating if I’m gonna buy the slim or wait another 6 months for the pro. Deciding what to do is so rough. lol being seriously dedicated gamer my whole life I always found upgrading to the next generation of platforms to be so difficult. I’m not sure why other than the fact that there are way too many systems upgrades out at one time. I really hate that I take forever to make a choice sometimes. 😂

A bump in performance when playing AAA titles at 4K is exactly what the PS5 needs. People are acting like a PS5 Pro’s existence would only be justified if it like redefined the limits of console gaming… a minor spec bump is all it needs to be. This thing looks sweet.

The ray tracing for me is that it needs proper balance, it can be way too much for me, like that car example, it's tooooo much.

Been a xbox fan since the original in the early 2000's, but being a xbox fan has felt like a slow sinking ship ever since the Xbox one, own a series x but jumping ship once the ps5 pro comes out. Can't wait for some decent games for once.

Did anyone else notice the lack of games in this console generation? The PS5 and XBOX are closing in on the end of their life span. I believe 2027 will be the beginning of the next console generation.

I wouldn't bother with a PS5 pro unreal 5.4 can already do the 60fps at high detail maybe it will speed up older games but they might get upgraded to 60 FPS without a pro. All they need to do is squeeze out more on the ps5 and release when the ai is strong a ps6. I think they are worried Nvidia could offer Nintendo ps5 level performance with better ai on the next switch with the tegra processor which will push demand and opportunity to offer more richer games like what the Xbox and ps have. So the next Nintendo could well offer more games than the previous one and be more in direct competition with Xbox and ps.

2024 should’ve been the year of 60fps at 4k being the MINIMUM. 120fps at 1080p should’ve been the goal for all games this year. Kinda ridiculous we paid $500+ for a console that is having games released barely at this level of expectations.

Crazy statement. Do you realise the power increase for native 4k 60 fps minimum. You would need 4070 equivalent to double the frame rates and native 4k a 4080. That’s almost 6x the power and 3x the performance of a console to achieve.

if fps is all u play then it's totally worth it since frames and input lag matter so much compared to 60 fps games that the resolution matters the most

£200 upgrade when trading in your old console every 3 years is a no brainer for me.
