1. Saying "still" is senseless as the game doesn't get any updates since like 2013 or 2014 2. The turorial's title says "PS4". It only works on that platform

Slow motion is a video edit. It doesn't slow motion because it would be cheating.

Is there a specific time to pause? It seems that every time I pause and exit to the main menu, it just looks like I jumped.

Sometimes you need to try for multiple times. Try pausing the game as early as possible after doing the jump into a paintning
