@@james0034 I used artic silver on my launch backwards compatible ps3, and with the fan set to 41% it only gets up to about 53 Celsius after playing games for a long time. Stock that console would be running probably at least 72c-80c maybe a little hotter. I did a couple other cooling mods to it aswell though. My ps4 however is bone stock as far as I know. I think they make these consoles just run kinda hot so they will die at some point and youll need to buy a new one.

If you take it apart slightly and clean all the dust out of it the fan wouldn’t have to work so hard to cool the gpu. That’s what I did and it quieted down significantly.

playing the games coming out of the far end of ps4 lifecycle will sound regardless, i play red dead 2 and warzone and my ps4 pro sound like crazy sometimes, but its not that big deal. the biggest problem is yet to come because ghost of tsushima comes out in 2 weeks and that game is gonna have some of the best music in gaming history so this is definately an issue i really hope ps4 pro can run that game somewhat quiet

recommended to me in 2020 and still in love with my ps slim. Chose it over pro because i didnt have a 4k tv and no regrets. Silent and hardly any heat produced. Such a difference from my base ps4 that could warm my small room making it unbearable in summer

Nah i prefer playing with the console sound i don't know give me satisfaction hear when i insert a disc or the sound of the disc drive or from the cooler Fam i play in Wii and for really really it sounds really delicious for me if you want to hear the Wii click my perfil i have a video about the sound that makes the wii that is called “Nintendo Wii noise"

Tbh I've learned to forget the sound when I'm playing to only be remembered how bad or loud it sounds when I turn it off. The slim version is perfectly fine and if the PS5 is quieter than that, oh my god that will be insane. To finally play games at night at lower sound levels and not to be forced to crank the volume up only to "cover" the PS4 noise. Amazing! Although if PS5 is in line with the slim version I'd be more than happy too.

Love the vids Ryan, however my favorite thing about this one is that if you hover over the thumbnail before you click on it it's just you inserting endless copies of Uncharted 4 into your PS4 slim lmfao

Hello ... Great vid quick question my ps4 pro is on 82 dB while playing Fortnite. My question is that ok or does it need 2 b clean. Thanx for the help.

I needed this.. now in 2020! But what model is each one? Especially the Pro and the Slim.. because the first pro was a living hell fan wise noise

All the people with the slim be like : OmG ThE sLiM iS sO quiet and not loud which is true but if I had the original PS4 my mom would be proud and she would think I’m a professional Jet flyer

@@nijah_r Yep. Another way to tell if the disc is stright up gone is that there was no music in stages.

I don't know why, but I've always loved the sound when the CD reader starts reading. Really nostalgic somewhy.

GrayWolf Studios I do suggest buying a ps4 slim if you have enough money though the pro would be nicer. But if sound is more important than the ps4 slim works great from my experience.

Wow that's really surprising the slims the quietest. You'd think that it would have the smallest fans which would spin the fastest as a result.

Matt 24 It's new chip set requires less wattage which means it requires less cooling. True the fans are probably smaller, but it also doesn't need to run them as fast to keep the console cool.

@@charlyoooooo i found the problem, it was because i didn't clean the heatsink, i just cleaned the Fan, but now the heatsink is clean, pero ahora mi ps4 esta silencio

All depends on the temperature of the room with the original PS4. When the heating is on in my living room it's like a jet engine, but I've had my window open and with a cool room after a few hours play it's not too bad

for the pro it depends if you playing in 4K or not since 4K pushes the console to basically its max potential

I remember having issues with my discs not getting recognized and I would put the disc in and listen for those lil robotic noises (1:49) and I didn't hear them then I knew it wouldn't work

When a precision air strike comes I can’t tell the difference of it was my ps4 or the game sound

My 5 year old PS4 sounds like a Jet Engine immediately when I boot it up

CEWIIH it will I had this problem too and what's happening is the fan is having a hard time functioning so i had my fan replaced as well as the thermal coating because it was barely there anymore.
