I've had every playstation console including the handhelds and the Xperia Play phone. Never once played online with a friend lol. I spent years slowly adding coworkers and friends to my friends list.... never once actually played with anyone. Always solo story games or random multiplayer stuff. Same on every console and PC I own. It's not on purpose... :(

10 years. A different world. A happy wife, and a happy life. Now everything is ending. 3 beautiful kids so no regrets. But still, a different time. I can't explain what this music means to me. I would sit and listen to this for hours. I haven't had a PS4 in probably 6 years. I think I'm going to buy one and relive some of this while I can. I can't say I would want to go back to that time period, but it's for sure a special time. I honestly feel like I want to write something deep and meaningful here but there just are not words.

after coming here and reading this and watching other videos i finally hooked back up my old ps4 from 2014 and im reliving that very same moment, playing little big planet 3 with the wife after finally buying 2 new controllers. it is amazong. i recommend little big planet 3 to play with your wife on ps4. also hooked up my xbox one x from 2017 (i used to play og xbox in 2006 but i lost my profile because my friends hacked my email, so thats when i converted to playstation again with the ps3(after playing on ps2, og xbox, and nintendo 64 for so many years before buying the og xbox 360), and then played on that ps3 til 2014 and picked up a ps4. infamous second son and kill zone shadow fall was amazing aswell. i thought about buying a xbox series x because im a huge fan of the original gears of war games and i saw how on xbox series x they bosoted the performance on original gears of war games and some other backwards compatible games from 360, which is amazing and how it should be with morepowerful hardware like how a computer is, the way it actually should be. godspeed to you brother add me on whatever system pc ps4 or xbox 360/xbox one and we can play coop games :)

The day i got my ps5 was the end of an era. My ps4, the best Christmas gift i ever got, ive still got her on my desk. Setting her up for the first time was amazing, and the only game i had was bo3, didn't really have many freinds yet, since i was still knew to my school. So i just played the campaign in my room by myself, i know everyone hated the bo3 campaign, but to me it was awesome. Its one of the most memorable gaming moments in my life, a fond memory. Ive had a pretty rough life, im 21 now and its still hard most of the time, i dealt with lots of mental and emotional abuse as a kid, ive had depression and anxiety for as long as i can remember, but my ps4 was always my escape, i was 14 when i got her, and retired her February this year, crazy how 7 years went by so fast, i miss being that kid with no responsibilities just being able to hop on and play with my freinds, i eventually did make some from school, and today they are still my best friends, there like brothers to me, we've made so many memories, and it wouldn't have happened without that beautiful console. Its helped me through a lot in those 7 long years, ive heard this song so much I genuinely dont realize its playing after so long, it just sounds so natural, in those moments of silence when its just you and this playing through the headphones, staring off into space after leaving the party at 3 AM. Ill always remember those. The day i unplugged her hit hard, it holds so much sentimental value to me, i just sat down and held it in my lap for a few minutes, thinking about the good times, before saying goodbye. Ill plug you back in one day ps4, but for now youve earned some rest. Ps5 has some big shoes to fill, he's doin a great job so far tho. Dec 2015-Feb 2023, you never let me down and never gave up. You hold a legacy, You always made the hard days and the long nights a little easier, Thank you ps4, the greatest console ill ever own.

Nothing beats when I got the ps4 in 2019 and putting Jedi Fallen Order disk in and just waiting for it to register the disc to this music Then after a while of not hearing it I was playing Astro’s play world on the ps4 themed level and this starts playing. Truely amazing

Havent seen my older brother since 2018 and my fav cousin since 2019. Yet, everytime i hear this majestic sound, I look back at all the memories we had growing up. Wish i didnt take those days and moments for granted.

When I first got my PS4, I unboxed it, set it up and started it. I did then not have time to actually get to use it for over an hour, but I had the menu open the entire time. At this time, my son was just 6 months old. So I spent the time with him, playing with him, giggling with him with that music on the background until it was time for him to sleep. This moment is forever burned into my memory. I will come back to this video years from now. My kid is now 7 years old, and I don't understand where the time went.

Got a PS5 and I forgot how much this console meant to me. Hearing this theme awakened feelings that I didn’t know I had. Feelings of joy, anger, sadness, excitement, victory. I never even thought of what this music meant to me. The emotions it brought. God, if I could just get to go back to the days when it was simpler, when I could play Minecraft all day.

Listening to this after a night of playing Fortnite at 3am during 2018 just hit different… the nostalgia.

The feeling when you remember the friends you had, the moments when you laugh with them and then, they go offline, you wait... and wait... but you just see the " last time online: more than a month " that feels bad, knowing that the friend he got offline for ever, was the friend you thinked it was gonna be forever, i used to see my friends offline all the time and it is normal, but if i see all the friends i have offline right now, while i hear this song, makes me feel bad, i dont know why, but it makes me feel sad in a nostalgic way, i will always remember when i played with my friends until 10AM and then when they all needed to go, hear this song for a couple seconds before turning off the PS, i will never forget all the memories the Ps4 gave me, i still play with the console... but its not the same thing anymore... 😔 I will never forget u Play Station Four... 😢

I never had a PS4, but my cousin did. This is one of the audio that actually makes me tear up. I've been visiting my uncle in about every 2-3 months since I was a child. Although he's like 40 today, my cousin still LOVES PlayStation. Even in such bad economy, he sells the old ones and manages to get a new PlayStation after a few months of launch. He always let me play on his PS everytime I visit my uncle, and the most time I spent out of all his PlayStations was on the PS4. This music makes me visit the golden times once again. I remember when I was a child, I used to get very excited when my dad said we're going to visit my uncle, not only because my cousin had a PS, but the "atmosphere" and all. I miss these times so much. My mom and dad got divorced when I was like 9, so I can't visit him as often because I live with my mom most of the time, but my dad bought a car so it's easier to travel and we visit him more often. Even though it's not as exciting as before, I still get happy when I visit my uncle and have some PS5. Countless amount of stuff happened in my 16 years of life. Hearing this is absolutely beautiful and I often and will come back here to listen one more time.

Yeah, it hits me hard, especially because I remember the good old days from 7 years ago when my parents bought a PS4 for me as my first video game console ever with Rayman Legends bundled with it. Now that I sold my PS4 for a Nintendo Switch, this piece of music makes me nostalgic about the days I played Ubisoft games, free PS Plus games and Crash Bandicoot on it. I really miss my PS4.

I mean yeah may be nostalgic it is a little bit but come on I've been listening to Playstation home soundtracks and THAT IS NOSTALGIC

This was my first console I've ever owned. Previously, I was gaming on low end budget PCs and laptops as a poor teen/college student. Games at the lowest setting and with like 15-20 fps. Then after graduating and working for a few years, got myself a PS4. Booting it up for the first time, setting it up and waiting for games to install while listening to this was like a dream. I dunno, it just evokes a premium, solid experience. The UX designers and sound team really know what they're doing. With the addition of experiencing games eith higher graphics and more than 30 fps, the PS4 was truly the peak of my gaming experience. What a solid console this.

I got a PS5 3 days ago and i will never forget this song man. 😢

I admit, I never really was a ps3 fan. I was a Xbox fan all the way, but the ps4 caught my attention and had one thing that stood out, It was the Home Screen music...

When I was still in primary school, I would stay overnight during the weekends at my grandma and grandpa's place, and there sits, my beloved ps4 my dad bought me for doing great in a junior football match. Countless family gatherings, cousins playing with me on split screen, hopping on with my school friends almost every night, we would chat and goof around till everyone had to sleep. Staring at the homescreen with this ambience in a dark living room, nothing on my mind, it was peaceful, calming. Time flies, now I'm almost graduating highschool in a different country. Looking back, I didn't knew I was making some of my most cherished and precious memories of my childhood, sometimes I wish I could relive all those moments and memories, but I know its impossible. Listening to this ambience sort of brings me back then, not fully, but, it's enough for me.

Yeah I agree with you. The PS5's theme is very good and immersive, but idk, the PS4's just sounds more peaceful like you're swimming in your thoughts. it is truly the best music Sony's ever conceived.

It’s so ambient, calming and when your on an empty mind, you can just get lost in the weirdest thoughts with this music, music never truly brought tears to my eyes, even watery eyes. However, ps4 has done it, the last studio I thought it would. I remember as a 9 year old shitting on adults in ww2 multiplayer and they would call me slurs and I would burst out in laughter. Memories, just come back from those days… truly amazing… I tear up every time I hear it. What a beautiful song to an amazing era of gaming…

I bought my husband the console when it first came out for Christmas & ive loved the music.. 7years later we now have a 2 month old and I use it as his lullaby, this & kingdom hearts dearly beloved.. I remember I never had a ps4, got a nintendo switch instead. But my cousin had the ps4 and how we used to binge minecraft on dual screen together back in 2016-2019. This theme always played while the two of us got arranged to sit down for long gaming sessions. Post pandemic he moved to a different part of the city we lived in. This paired with the fact we both started getting jumped with schoolwork meant neither of us had the time to sit down and play together anymore. I am writing this sitting on my bedroom floor with school in the morning waiting for my phone to charge. I wish young me realized how easy he had it back then compared to the monotonous nightmare life became post pandemic. Staring down the start of high school and taking comfort in the sounds of childhood. Its strange how a console i never owned is making me so nostalgic.

I grew up hearing this sound every morning. When my parents split, my dad sold his ps4 for drugs and I haven't heard this sound since. It's weird how nostalgic this is, makes me feel like crying. Constantly waking up to this or coming home from school to it. It's been years since I've used a ps4, I wish I could have one again.

I remember opening my Playstation 4 on Christmas day. I was maybe 8-9, it was a gift from my dad (my parents aren’t together) and we had to keep it at my grandmas house because my dad lived in a disgusting trailer. Every other weekend was a blessing, I played minecraft, mortal kombat, hoard, little big planet, etc. etc. We’ve got a Playstation 5 now, and my dad lives in a condo pretty close to my moms house now. Brings me back to a time when I had a bad haircut and saw my grandma more than my dad, I honestly miss those days but I’m glad he’s doing better now.

Really nostalgic to me. Today I was checking my gallery on PS4. Really nostalgic looking at screenshots or achievements I earned 3-4 years ago while this music was playing. Lot of dark nights and lot of adventures. There is something special about playing on console, it just hits different.

2013: age 18 living in grandparents basement, went got a ps4 with killzone and assassins creed IV having the time of my life. 2022: 27 and got a PS5 and a kid now, first grandparent died in 2015 and the other died 12 days ago. Havent had a ps4 in 2 years and this music brings me back.

just yesterday i was on my ps3 playing black ops zombies... Seeing that the ps4 was confirmed and excited for my parents to get it for me December 26th 2015 i got it... Christmas was good that year around the first game i played was Infamous second son I remember being stuck on the grafitti part for a good while cause 15 year old me couldnt understand the new mechanics of the ps4 controller (LOL) indeed going into 2016 was definitely a amazing thing Just imagine it for a second Before christmas break let out you tell your friends that you may be getting a ps4 for christmas this year and they all feel your hype then returning to school with none of your break packets done (lol) just telling your friends how awesome the ps4 is and how nostalgic it will be when the ps5 comes out in like 15 years (i was pushing it cause i didnt believe that the ps5 would even be a thing but here we all are 7-8 years later...) This is definitely a nostalgic blast to the past (even though i still have my ps4 it just doesnt feel the same)

The fact this is already nostalgic to me is crazy, I grew up with this and a bit of the ps3 but my god, the memories flowing through from this sound

@@tavozo4208 (at one stage I owned a PS4 Pro, an Xbox One S and my current PC all at the time). In my opinion, Sony really is the best when it comes to consoles. Xbox may have better servers, WAY better download speeds, free cloud saves and a killer subscription service (Game Pass Ultimate), but Sony has really been killing it with their exclusives since 2016. As for the Digital Only (399) vs proper PS5 (499), it's more a question of which you rather. You can either pay less now but not be able to sell your games or buy the 499 one and be able to sell disk games down the road.

I never liked this menu’s ambience but hearing it 10 years later brought me SOOO many memories that I Will never experience again…

This music brings so many memories with strongest feelings. Late 2014, rainy nights in Auburn, Washington, at campus corner apartments lying in my bed and listening to this music, thinking this time will pass, and I will miss it. I wanted to stop that time. This music is something else which brings immense nostalgia. It’s like picking a start point on a timeline which is followed by tons of great memories.
