Always good to have info like this to double check out work with when it comes to specific games that we may have forgotten about. Dragon's Crown was one that I made sure to get as soon as possible because everything about it--including that Atlus name--felt like it'd be a value climber. It's not about having it for the worth, but when it comes time to play certain games, I DO want to play them--but I do NOT want to pay premium for them if I can help it. I need to pick up A Way Out and It Takes Two--I think they'd be great for us to play and I DO continue to hear good things about each. This KZread troll we know suckered us into getting the MGS collection...lol BUT, he also helped us out on the Silent Hill love too. Dude--Lollipop Chainsaw is one I thought would go up in price too and made sure I grabbed--but also, it's just a fun game. It plays well, is unique, and the tongue-in-cheek humor is well done and that's not always easy to do in gaming.

Great picks. I've always passed over A Way Out back when it first came out and everytime I saw it at the store, I figured it was not a great game cause at the time wasn't hearing much about it. Then I heard about it like 4 months ago and totally interested in it and now I can't find it anywhere. I have all the other games you mentioned on here except Lollipop I have on 360.

Lollipop is one I need to pick up......A way out is a great co op game. If it was single player, it would lose a lot of its uniqueness and charm.

I got Lollipop Chainsaw a few months back, and I played a little bit of it. It was pretty good. What pissed me off the most, the guy who sent it, didn't protect it. No bubblewrqp or anything. The case was shattered. Luckily the guy was nice and sent me a replacement case free of charge. Cool guy.

I remember seeing the legacy collection in gamestop years ago. I never picked it up, and have always regretted it despite having all the mgs games already. Glad to see it is only going for $25 on amazon!

There are many decent Konami games on the PS3 that will be collectible, Blades of Time, Saw series, Neverdead, Castlevanias etc. Luckily I have all the games you mentioned.

Konami was still running hard onnthe PS3, but lately they've been pretty quiet. I hope they have some big stuff up their sleeve........Silent hill remakes would even be a huge hit right now.

Good choices Chris. I recently just got the Metal Gear Legacy Collection about a month ago. And I have the physical versions of Silent Hill HD collection, Homecoming and Downpour but for Xbox 360, as they are backwards compatible with Xbox One/ Series X. And if you like Lollipop Chainsaw I highly recommend Shadows of the Damned and Killer is Dead. Both are also made by Suda 51. Shinji Mikami was co-worker with Shadows and it's very Resident Evil 4 like. Killer is Dead is similar to the newer Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. Definitely check those two out. They are crazy and over the top. In classic Suda 51 style. Cheers Chris!

Yeah definitely keep an eye out for those two. They were both on ps3 and Xbox 360. And are currently backwards compatible with the Xbox brand. And hopefully we see a new Silent Hill soon. And one that lives up to the legacy of the franchise. Preferably Silent Hill 2.

Thanks Zobbster. I've recently started picking up more PS3 games, so it felt like a great time to make a video.

I wonder if the PS3 NTSC/PAL-version of games are going to show big differences in prices as of let's say the PS2. I remember a few years back when Haunting Ground on PS2 was like $200 and the PAL-version you could buy brand new for $15. But then of course you needed to import or mod the console to play it. But collecting for the PS3 you don't have that problem with the console being region free.

Most of my friends that played Dragon's Crown they went either the Amazon or the sorceress route first and I did the fighter's route first because I always do the knight class first in dungeon crawlers. I just need Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the PlayStation 2 and I'm good with the trilogy for the PlayStation 2 with Metal Gear Solid 1 through 3. And like I said when I got Parasite Eve we need a Silent Hill collection with every Silent Hill game on there because my retro game shop had them but they're only go up in price because Parasite Eve was my expensive game for a console that I can play it on and it was reasonable but it was my first expensive retro game

Most if not all of the prices of the games that goes up is the usa versions of the games, so because the ps3 is region free getting the pal version of the more expensive games is actually cheaper since in the eu the prices have not skyrocketed as the usa ones.

Yep. I actually bought the pal version of Dar Souls trilogy on PS4 because the NTSC version was expensive.

At least this PS3 and PS4 list is different than the other youtubers.

Some other PS3 games that are going up in price are Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Spider-Man 3 Collector’s Edition, X-men Origins Wolverine, Sly Collection, Saw, Saw 2, and a couple of the Rachet and Clank games. I’m just naming a few.

Yes. I sold mine years ago and wish I still had it. I do have an Xbox version, but I really want my PS2 copy again.

I think they will continue to go up. The store closing would have made it even more rapid, but I think the idea of the store closing will now make people start collecting for it even more.

I spent the first couple years of the PS4s life just buying up all the dirt cheap PS3 games I could. I picked up tons of games during that time that have now skyrocketed in price. Stuff like 3D Dot Game Heroes, Puppeteer, Folklore I picked up for under 10 bucks a piece. I found Painkiller for 13 just 5 years ago and now that game is crazy expensive and I haven't quite figured out why yet. Was it just super rare or something? I do have one prediction of my own though. That whole time I was buying up cheap ps3 games there were 2 titles that I bought solely cause I had never heard of them and had never seen them before. One was Painkiller, and like I mentioned that ones already stupid expensive, and the other title was the Testament of Sherlock Holmes. Theres another Sherlock game I used to see for sale all the time, but that Testament one I had never seen before. And it's an Atlus title that's still pretty cheap right now I think.

I just got a sealed copy of lollipop chainsaw but it was $100 total. I wanted the Japanese version ughh the price tag is bit high. I believe dead space will go up since it was left under ground

I think Shadows of the Damned, Puppeteer and PS All Stars have the potential to become sought out games in the future. The first two are gems that didnt reached popularity, Shadows of the Damned especially with all the big names involved, and PS All Stars will be known as the Sony smash clone that failed and thats a big selling point right there

I got three comments to make but I just make it all in one. 1. I picked up all the silent Hill games for the PS2 back about 4 years ago the garage sale for two bucks a piece in the original game for 75¢. I recommend staying away from the collection, it sucks. I still need to get my hands on downpour and homecoming. 2. I own lollipop chainsaw. The funny thing is I must not have spent a whole lot of money on it because I actually don't remember getting it. 3. Other games I would suggest getting for the PS3 are the ratchet & Clank collection, the Jack and Daxter collection, and The Sly Cooper collection. Their value has gone up substantial last few weeks. 3.

Consoles are expensive but games real cheap, ps3 games I pick up for like 2, to 5 dollars and ps2 games like a dollar ,all titles , game values where I stay is low so luckely for me its great way to collect :)

Tbh I think the only games to really worry about are afrika and pain killer I feel like some of these games will settle down or drop more once people realize the 360 has the better version for most of the multiplats

These are on the 360, but those are gonna raise too. Afrika is already too expensive for most people. It's almost 100 just for the disc. These are games that people can afford before they get to that crazy price point.

ATLUS, you’re a monster! They’re actually good games too. That’s the trauma as well. Metal gear 1 and snakes revenge are my favorites in the metal gear games

Daymere 1998 is another one that will go up in value as the physical copy is not common to find in stores. Online, its $20 new. Not a good horror game. Though because its survival horror, horror games will go up more in value and will never drop .

Alot of the ps2 games I want to play again are ridiculous in price. That's why I'm leaning towards the ultimate ps2 lol. By the time I buy a ps2 again and the 10-15 games I want again I'll be at the $500 lol

I want to be honest, of the games on the list, only Metal Gear Solid Legacy I like, I'm not a fan of Atlus or SH games, so the fact that they go up in price doesn't really matter to me. I prefer to buy ONLY the games I really enjoy and for some of them I don't mind the expense (For Example, I bought Jak And Daxter Collection for like 80$ and you know what? I don't care, because I love that game and I wanted it too much). I prefer quality over quantity, I prefer to spend a little more on a game that I really want, rather than spending the same amount for 4 or 5 games that I will never play.

Silent hill 2 and 3 HD were a trash remaster. I have silent hill 2 on ps2 original, i also have silent hill 3 with the soundtrack ps2 I also have silent hill 4 for og xbox and silent hill origins and shattered memories on ps2. I have lollipop chainsaw for both xbox 360 and ps3.

I love collecting, but stimulating an economy going so far off the edge seems frivolous to me. The games don't expire... Physically at least. I'd rather wait for the market to die down and not buy a game at it's most expensive point..
