Arboricola - Here it is Jan 16, 2010 and I just purchased the arboricola in a K-mart in Richmond, Va. Very healthy and looks great. I never knew the name of this tree and always called it an umbrella tree. I love the look of the Arboricola tree. Nice Video.

it would've been more helpful if the camera was close near your hand to see where exactly you were cutting. To me it looks like all you did was prune it to make it smaller. I actually liked it before you pruned it. I agree with trimming near the trunk to show the braid though.

I liked how it looked before hand to be honest. But thank you for your useful tips. :)

I can't see where you're cutting. I also have no idea what an inner node is. It would be a lot more helpful if you zoomed in on the branch while you're cutting and explained better why the new growth will grow in certain directions. All I got from this video is just to cut, cut, cut.

I have a Arboricola Dwarf that I have had for years and love it but I guess it has gotten out of hand. One trunk has grown over to the side and then curls up so how should I about reshaping?

My plant has trunks growing out the side. How do I get them twisted together or do I cut it. It's quite tall. Mine was given to me 8 yrs ago.

I need help!, my arboricola's trunk is very thin and still green.. How do you make it to have a strong brown trunk?

this video is not done well. I am sure it is informative, but I cannot see what you are talking about so it is not helping. me. I have a huge umbrella plant and am not sure if I should prune it or not.

Not really helpful because I don't know what you mean by an inner node, and since you didn't zoom in, I couldn't see where you were cutting.
