We need more rosarians from the southeast on KZread! Im trying to grow David Austin’s in NC and they get hit hard by black spot and Japanese beetles. Would love some tips to combat them. Thank you for the video 😍

Well, mine always get hit hard too, and I'm not a big sprayer of chemicals so that makes things a little trickier. I'm planning to explore some new tactics this season and plan to share at some point! I have found that the healthier the rose, the more it can withstand attack. I do copper on the black spot and knock the beetles into soapy water and feed them to my chickens.

The ones I wore in the video were given to me but the key is thick leather and long gauntlet arms so you don't get poked.
