We cant help you win your wins any harder by commenting on it -- only your loses can we (try) to help you with. I feel like you needed ghosts instead of tanks for that second game, or, simply make 6 tanks instead of the widow mines. there is something magic about the siege tank once it reaches 5 to 6 tanks behind the barracks as far as immortals and colossi are concerned. Its also sometimes kind of nice to use ravens to put turrets Infront of siege tanks in siege mode to try and soak zealot/zergling melee damage, to keep the tanks alive a small amount longer. I have seen the ai do this, when zerglings try to surround a tank fully, the ravens turret ability similar to a force field disrupts formations and pushes zerglings around, keeping the tank from being as efficiently surrounded. Experiment with that by exchanging one of your 2 starter medivacs for a single early raven instead, and put turrets directly infront of siege tanks, even if they do get focus fired by the stalkers the stalkers will still be punished for it. More so then when the tanks are alone. Putting just 1 marauder infront of a tank can also help alot in place of said raven should the raven be missing. Another unit that synergizes well with sieged siege tanks is of all things the medivac. The medivac can still carry a sieged siege tank when its in siege mode, its just less convenient to do because the cargo slot index is increased for siege tanks in siege mode from 4 to 8 which means a medivac can carry 2 non sieged siege tanks but can only carry 1 sieged siege tank, similar to a thor. Its easy to think its better to transport one thor in a medivac instead of just 1 sieged siege tank, but sieged siege tanks are lower/faster tech to drop then thors, and it allows for rapid drop micro similar to phase prisms and immortals. Im not sure if they (blizzard) have changed any validators for skirmish games recently, so I may have to double check this, but if memory serves me correctly I do believe we can still medivac sieged siege tanks and that is (or used to be) the siege tank based (desperation) strategy counter to the colossi death ball. Mostly theory craft by this point. Perhaps you'll find some new experiments mixing unit comps with siege tanks -- such as liberator death balls camping ontop of un sieged tanks for leap frogging -- or siege tank battle cruiser hellion triple splits -- or cloaked scout snipe ghosts with siege tanks widow mines ravens -- there is alot of fun stuff to do with siege tanks because of their jump scarey nature.

I played SCII a few years ago when the voidray was OP and was able to get into the worst gold league through it. What baffles me is that I am as far away from Harstems skill as he is from Serrals probably. Would really love to see an actual pro to play all these crazy strategies! Cause they look really fun, just sadly missing the skill to make them work properly :/

@@ezmackgaming at least I know is used in video editing as proxy video meaning a lower quality that resembles the original and also 3d modeling. I think also in servers as proxy server if I’m not wrong it refers to emulate a closer server but not sure about that one

@@maxmax003 What I found from looking into it is that proxy is typically a shorthand for procuracy not proximity. I had never thought about it before so I found it interesting to learn. I also use proxy as a shorthand for proximity, but in a different context.

Proxy has more to do with someone representing someone else, or doing something for someone else, than it does with literal distance. They're a consequence of the other, but they aren't the same thing. -- "My brother lives in another state and I need to send him mail. I'll send a parcel through the carrier service." You and your brother are not in proximity to each other. Thus, you will use a proxy to get your mail to him. Proximity is your distance, your proxy is the mail guy. -- "I need someone to manage my store for the week. Jeff, you're in charge." Jeff is your proxy in charge of the store (representing you). Whether or not you're 'within proximity' of the store doesn't matter, even if that's the likely explanation that you're not. Another explanation is you're simply out sick, but you could be called in if something truly dire happens. -- If you must interpret proxy as 'proximity' then feel free to use 'in proximity to the enemy' as your interpretation. Not all proxies are meant to be sneaky. Proxy hatches from Zerg are a good example.

Stupid question, why don't a lot of professional players repair there buildings? Is it just cheaper to let it die then rebuild because repair is super expensive?

hmm. i think its a matter of min-maxing. if someone is going to repair, its going to be 12+ scvs all desperately trying to patch up their crumbling command center amidst a hail of laser beams or huddling around a single Thor like a ring of soldering iron wielding meat shield angels keeping it upright for as long as humanly possible.

repairing a bulding from 1 hp to full costs about 1.5 its resources as compared to its ordinary build cost. i think. but of course, time is money. idk i'm not a pro by any means maybe they'll have a better answer edit: actually i think i have this backwards lol. i'm useless. liqui says 25% of cost

No stupid stuff is more like a dumb challenge that shouldn't work against GM and the cheesiest man is all-ins or other cheese strategies that have to deal damage and are still valid (most of it).

Cheesiest Man Alive is for builds that are either viable (ie cannon rushing) or straight up broken (Harstems "Can't believe Terrans never tried this" cyclone-tank build). Beating grandmasters with stupid stuff is for builds that are meant to be underpowered, a flex or straight up handicap from regular game (ie you are only allowed to attack with nydus worms, or you can defend with whatever, but can only attack with units X Y Z). In this game he was going exclusively for confusion, although it seems they were mainly confused about why he's chucking his MMR at them like a r***rded hydra.
