    SCP - 10349 Designation: Glitch in the System Subject Class: Keter Description: SCP 10349 appears sporadically, with no set distribution of its arrival prior to it being discovered. It manifests in the world as the name suggests, as a glitch, causing items and creatures, including people, making the subject in question and the surrounding environment appear to have the same visual effect as when certain brands of visual electronic devices glitch out when struck with sufficient force. Long-term exposure to SCP 10349 is not advised, as testing has concluded that the origin behind it....ultimately "corrects" the glitched items or creatures by deleting them, making it seem like they never existed to begin with. While various degree's of control have been exhibited from certain individual affected by SCP 10349, they have ultimately been contained as well, to prevent mass outbreak and panic. Access to SCP 10349 is restricted to all personal that do not get prior authorization from Dr. Bright. Any interaction is to be immediately reported and monitored for study, in the event of possible infection.

    I feel like their world is crumbling. The people from the animation actually live in a simulation, like the Matrix or something, so all the glitches are like, actual glitches in the system and the birds are just a faulty update; but people in the matrix don’t realise that those glitches are a sign of the fragility of their world, they just treat them as a threat that needs to be exterminated

    How do you know they aren't fixing them? We see them put things that they can't fix on the spot into a box to prevent it from spreading. Not that they are going to pretend that whatever is in the box doesn't exists. There is clearly something going on that they are trying to fix. You know, correct reactionto highly contagious disease is treatment and quarantine of infected people. Not pretending that there is no problem and claiming to be "correct".

    The first thought was something related to a massive illness. Birds in the beginning act as a source of infection, but looking at it metaphorically, birds mean freedom and flight. But with these glitches, the bird can't take off. The whole situation also recalls how developed countries are trying to help Third World countries. But the man who was near the tower is one of them (members of rescue groups) - and no obvious changes in his appearance due to glitches have arisen (the old woman's eye color changed before glitches and after). It seems that he really could more or less control the glitches, perhaps, thereby trying to benefit from the "disease". Maybe he was one of them, but then thought that instead of being completely destroyed, cured in the early stages, or isolated in boxes, glitches could be useful for peaceful purposes? Therefore, he experimented alone because no one would understand and instead would try to stop him. Some viruses and bacteria have learned to use for good purposes, maybe something like this he trying to do? It’s also very ridiculos and cool that the “rescue” uniform has triangles resembling a sandwich. A triangle can mean unity, "three worlds" of our planet: the countries of the First, Second and Third worlds. Glitches can also be associated with this: three is a number that forms a plane, as the primary manifestation of something in space. The volume of the material world is possible only in the ternary coordinate system, where the model of any object can be divided into many triangles lying in different planes relative to each other. Glitches destroy this volume, since they are possible only in a flat space.

  • @phoebemarbid5818

    @phoebemarbid5818

    Wow! That’s actually a really good analyzation. I too thought about how the glitches could mean mental illness, which could make sense since the glitch man “didn’t want to be put in a box” aka “fixed.” What’s interesting is that the woman in the beginning was said to be in the desert multiple times. Maybe this is a comment in the relapses of mental illness? The glitches could even represent something else, like drugs.

  • @phoebemarbid5818

    @phoebemarbid5818

    4 жыл бұрын

    Actually I take part of that back. The boxes aren’t going to fix anything. They just hide the problem. Then maybe this is talking about how society tends to ignore the effects of mental illness?

    Yes glitch is the manifestation of loosing the depth of higher dimensional things. It's like a short thought, a world seen with just one eye open. It's the mark of interconnected space of higher dimensions, like two 2d plane intersect in a line. It's maybe interesting to investigate and master these higher dimensions, worlds of thought, word, feelings, politics. There are not just red and blue like in the first second of the film. But for some it's preferable that we are constrained (best if we do it on our own) to see just 2 color more then a full rainbow of depth. Blue and red are the 2 extremum color of the spectra. Today, these 2 color can be emulated, or faked by technology, but in the last million years, Red is the color of materiality, interiority, lava, blood, opposed to blue, color of the sky, the outside, the far away, the unknownable, the deep space of sky and sea. In some African languages the same word identify blue and black. In other language, the blue is not named, It's a sort of green (china) or the same as grey (viking), or color of transparency... Not color at all.. but sky or water color is so unfixable. In the film, when the glitch occurs, the world turn red. Desease of to much materialism ? made by expert and technology that force us to break our natural harmony and capability to handle our red and blue side ? Don't care eat a prebuild triangular nutriment. Sandwich ! Symbol of unity, yes but precisely of over simplification, like sandwich if thought as a poor meal. People of the triangle use to say : don't care, there is only 2 choice each time. Blue and red. The road of the middle is too dangerous, named doubt and uncertainty, but at the same time consciousness and understanding : it's the trunk of a tree : road of middle : The space of glitches when an origami is made simplest as a plane. As you said, bird is the totemic animal that master the travel in both worlds. At this time, We saw a tree, and an old women, all mark of knowledge and mediation between nutriment from the sky (via roots of sky we use to name branch or mind, or flying bird) and nutriment from the soil via the roots of earth. The bird can't fly, the women red see, the tree is deadly skinny. The women lost her mind, her bird inside. The free bird and man, master of the equilibrium will finish in a square little closed box. Is what happens when closed mind have the power against you. By fear of loosing control we all put square box around doubt and uncertainties. But the best is to master the glitch of ours lives, mades inside and outside us. It's always easier to see the outside than the inside. It's always easier to travel the world than our mind. But quick last note, it's easy to figure out the inside, it's just the mirror of what we made outside. Look at our old lady earth, the red is in her eyes !

    @@phoebemarbid5818 Props to you for analyzing this deeply! I'm wondering why the woman keeps "showing up" in multiple places. As far as we can see, she's not in a box... And the man called himself a local. He was among them originally, but not a part of them anymore. He wouldn't go home because they were afraid of him, he thought he was 'incurable'. How he is connected to the old woman is making me think. Perhaps our protagonist sets him free- I hope so. I just have so many questions.

  • @phoebemarbid5818

    @phoebemarbid5818

    holly grace I was thinking of how the woman has dementia (“What day is it?”) and how it is generally more acceptable since it’s associated with inevitable aging. Now, I’m not a medical expert, but I do know that dementia is mainly treated by medication. The younger man may have a different mental illness altogether (possibly one with aggression) which is less accepted in society since it is not as common as dementia. Also, the traditional treatment that worked for the woman (medication) has been ineffective on him. This could lead to why he was put in a box and not the woman. I think at the end, the protagonist finally realizes the harm he’s doing to the man, although it’s not clear if he sets him free.

    Despite the months spent observing the development of this short movie, I still don't understand the secret of their plot... Nonetheless, I had some time to build my own lore 🤓 In this world, Glitches may represent places where the passage between two worlds is paradoxically both possible and incompatible with the physics of this universe. Space time may be torn away, crumpled, wrinkled, and the elements of two or even several universes end up combined in a wrong way. The result of this mixing would be the glitches. This desert may be an area particularly dense in dimensional passages, and sensitive people might irremediably be attracted to the place. Rangers, on the other hand, shall be the ones responsible for securing the area, protecting the civilians, and... Ensuring that they do not aggravate the situation. Because approaching a Glitch could very well be like pressing the tip of a dagger on a thin stretched canvas. Human presence would therefore exacerbate the aforementioned aberrant phenomena around dimensional passages. Maybe when interracting with the Glitches, humans take the risk to leave a part of themselves behind, within the other universes? This would explain both their confusion and their irrepressible desire to return to the Glitches. Could it be they are seeking that precious part of themselves they were separated from?

    Maybe you can think of parallel world as space of immateriality (world of information, mind, spirituality...) opposed to space of materiality (the atoms, ours bodies, eating, nature...). And then, yes actually we have lost for some, the harmonic link between both. Technology, closed mind of expert, can manage to forbid break our natural links that make us human as trees. Trees take both nutriment from the sky and from the earth.

    Interesting, but I think its instead a virtual reality, maybe among many, runned by a massive stellar megastructure at the end of times (like a matrioshka brain), when the universe is colder and computing therefore more efficient. But whose data and programming is severly glitched...and simulated human programs are trying to fix it, but dont need to really understand.

    My first instinct is that this has to do with foreign aid to third world countries. A lot of them don’t want the help that’s being given to them because in some ways it makes their situation worse. The little gun fans might just be ineffective ways of solving problems but I have no idea. Just a thought!
