Protesters in Tel Aviv are demanding Israeli government priorities captives' return
Israeli police fired water cannon and forcibly removed demonstrators in downtown Tel Aviv as thousands rallied to demand urgent government action to bring home captives from Gaza. Protesters observed a minute’s silence in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square in honour of the captives whose bodies were recovered by Israeli troops this month.

I don't think these people are serious. On one hand, they want the hostages back, and on the other hand, they want no negotiation , infact, they want Gaza flattened. A flattened Gaza means the hostages are flattened along with many other innocent people. The mentality is that there are no innocent people in Gaza with that rethoric in mind. It's been recorded by AJ where protesters made it clear. They want their hostages back and are willing to "compromise" on a ceasefire if that's what it takes. They never wanted a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes. They were quite happy to have their forces bulldoze and destroy everything.

Poor suffering Isreelers, when Palestinians protest about the 8000 hostages illegally detained by the IDF in its military jails they get shot and their homes demolished note 95% of them dont think the war/blitz/wipeout should stop and 50% of them think the IDF is being "too soft"
The internal fracturing I'm the IDF and government is wild. The people see this and know they can get the captives back and get permanent peace but let the government keep their will contained. Unfortunately the way society is structured fragments any sense of plausible peace or negotiation.
