You are right about this. My mom had the same basic hair style for like 40 years and when I was like early twenties I tried different things with my hair but now I put it in a ponytail EVERY single day and do nothing else with it. My daughter is 4 and she has very beautiful curly ringlets and I'm starting to learn different ways to take care of her hair and style it because I don't want her to end up like me.

I'm adopted by white parents and my mom went out of her way to get my hair plaited and learn how to take care of African hair instead of just keeping it relaxed or short. Not saying I didn't have realxed hair I did but mostly when I asked for it

To help the health of their hair when swimming in a pool, you can saturate the hair in drinking water before they go in the water! That way their hair isn’t able to absorb much chlorine or salt if they’re in the ocean ☺️ (this is just in case they don’t wear caps in the water when swimming)

@@TheodoreBakes used conditioner before i went in and braided it in 2 big braids. I went swimming twice a day for my camp. Tbh i a slacking and forgot to put it on a lot. Never had any damage my hair has always been long off and on. I only have gotten heat damage or relaxed hair breakage but i been natural since 2012. Hair has been to my ass twice but i cut it cause it takes too long to do all them damn styles. Now i want a bob.

@cutecatthy97 yeah i was raw dawgin it 😅🤣🤣 no conditioner, grease, water, nothing. I learned very quickly watching my hair break off over the next two years. Before that i had only been in yard blow up pools in the country without chlorine so i didnt know any better.

I'm that parent, the styles came out nice but with 3 little ones the quickest style for the win which is normally a ponytail or two with one to three braids from each ponytail and beads

Ooh👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Your cute girls be modeling💅🏾 It's beautiful, not even just for it being your first time doing it that way. My go-to hairstyle for my kids is 2 dutch braids, not that they last longer than one night. For protective hairstyles I always do Senegalese Twists with synthetic hair.

This is my go to protective style. I only change the front. I’ve even learned how to install it with human Afro kinky hair. Since I stopped using synthetic hair, my hair started retaining length. I keep ordering longer hair and reusing as much as possible. Your baby’s hair was perfect.

I started doing braid and twist a few weeks ago. It lasted for weeks. From twist to twist out to taking braid out to full out.

This is my go to protective style. I only change the front. I’ve even learned how to install it with human Afro kinky hair. Since I stopped using synthetic hair, my hair started retaining length. I keep ordering longer hair and reusing as much as possible. Your baby’s hair was perfect.
