No he's not dummy, this an Astroturf song, paid for, promoted and partially written by the right wing conservative, borderline fascist, organizations to whip up support for their dying party. It's sooooo easily provable, just follow the money, his literal instantaneous, overnight popularity, for a song that is mediocre at best. There are plenty of other blatant, out in the open, facts that back what I am saying.

I remember working 12 hours to get home and drive my husband to work with two little kids in the back seat. It's weird, my youngest son he can't be without me. How did I survive. Now I have money and time off but often no motivation to do everything I used to want to. Someday I'll figure it out.

Awesome Song! Got goosebumps..from his heart and soul. This man represents/speaks for the hard working peoples struggles..work hard, taxed to no end and going nowhere especially in the past 31/2 yrs..wages can’t keep up with the out of control inflation. I can relate just like most people relate. He speaks Truth about the bs going on today in the new world. This song has gone to #1 on iTunes..Americans are speaking through his song. Latest statement by Oliver(Chris) Anthony--It's been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I've received in the last week. The stories that have been shared paint a brutally honest picture. Suicide, addiction, unemployment, anxiety and depression, hopelessness and the list goes on. Im sitting in such a weird place in my life right now. I never wanted to be a full time musician, much less sit at the top of the iTunes charts. Draven from RadioWv and I filmed these tunes on my land with the hope that it may hit 300k views. I still don't quite believe what has went on since we uploaded that. It's just strange to me. People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don't want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don't want to play stadium shows, I don't want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they're being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung. No editing, no agent, no bullshit. Just some idiot and his guitar. The style of music that we should have never gotten away from in the first place. So that being said, I have never taken the time to tell you who I actually am. Here's a formal introduction: My legal name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford. My grandfather was Oliver Anthony, and "Oliver Anthony Music" is a dedication not only to him, but 1930's Appalachia where he was born and raised. Dirt floors, seven kids, hard times. At this point, I'll gladly go by Oliver because everyone knows me as such. But my friends and family still call me Chris. You can decide for yourself, either is fine. In 2010, I dropped out of high school at age 17. I have a GED from Spruce Pine, NC. I worked multiple plant jobs in Western NC, my last being at the paper mill in McDowell county. I worked 3rd shift, 6 days a week for $14.50 an hour in a living hell. In 2013, I had a bad fall at work and fractured my skull. It forced me to move back home to Virginia. Due to complications from the injury, it took me 6 months or so before I could work again. From 2014 until just a few days ago, I've worked outside sales in the industrial manufacturing world. My job has taken me all over Virginia and into the Carolinas, getting to know tens of thousands of other blue collar workers on job sites and in factories. Ive spent all day, everyday, for the last 10 years hearing the same story. People are SO damn tired of being neglected, divided and manipulated. In 2019, I paid $97,500 for the property and still owe about $60,000 on it. I am living in a 27' camper with a tarp on the roof that I got off of craigslist for $750. There's nothing special about me. I'm not a good musician, I'm not a very good person. I've spent the last 5 years struggling with mental health and using alcohol to drown it. I am sad to see the world in the state it's in, with everyone fighting with each other. I have spent many nights feeling hopeless, that the greatest country on Earth is quickly fading away. That being said, I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land. When is enough, enough? When are we going to fight for what is right again? MILLIONS have died protecting the liberties we have. Freedom of speech is such a precious gift. Never in world history has the world had the freedom it currently does. Don't let them take it away from you. Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It's a damn shame.

Love his style of what I feel is Appalachian Folk Music. Sort of a modern day Woody Guthrie. Loved your reaction, just luckily happened to come across your post. Love your take on his vocals and sound, as how the WORLD has grab hold of his song and found meaning in Oliver's tune. The main thing I have found from watching reviews is no matter who WE are or where WE are from, this tune has a different meaning to each one of US = however, we all come to the same conclusion, UNITE! things can NOT stay the way they are! WATCH his follow-up post MOVING FORWARD.

3:45 I literally started crying seeing y'all's reaction. I've seen about 50 reactions to the song and I am not exaggerating. At least 50. I have been waiting for you guys to react to this. I just got off of work and saw you guys finally reacted. That part hits me so hard because our country does not even give a damn about miners or actual minors, but they were apparently worried about them minors on that island because they won't release that list from Epstein Island. Cuz they don't want us all to see who's on it. That part hit me so hard and there's a few other parts when he talks about men being 6 ft under because they keep getting torn down because of this country. Don't give a shit about young men. This song is the anthem for the country and the world because it's not only for the USA. It's for people all over this world. It is uniting all walks of life. He is singing from his heart and it is raw and vulnerable and we all need to hear this right now. That's why I did a little short cover of it on my channel. Not because I am trying to sound as good as him or trying to get any kind of clout because I want people to know who he is. That's why I pinned his channel in my comment section

This is for sure the voice of the working class. I got out, but I grew up in a working class family and I remember seeing my father tired and broken just on the grind til the day he died. The only thing he ever asked of me was to stay in school so I wouldn't have to live like he did. Fuck this song hits right in the guts because we've all seen it and it's getting worse every year. I won't do the both-sides thing because I believe 1 side is particularly pro 1% and billionaire owned, but the bottom line here in the United States and I'm sure everywhere in the world is this: there are all sorts of people hurting and suffering because of greedy corporations and indifferent and dishonest politicians and the never ending loop of money going from our taxes to programs that benefit K Street Lobbyists. My only disagreement is the poor SOB with the fudge rounds. Leave that person alone and punch up. What about the wealthy elites who always seem to come out with things working just peachy for them? What about the wealthy elites that took PPP loans and loan forgivness and then litigated against and got student debt relief blocked. There's greedy corporations, mean assholes, and indifferent politicians and if things don't change, this whole thing is going to collapse.

Because when you’re working those overtime hours for bullshit pay and you’re supporting 10 other people besides yourself who are taking advantage of the welfare system, and nobody is talking about people who actually need assistance because nobody minds helping those folks out but you’re helping out a bunch of folks who could work, but don’t. People who sell their food stamps or quit their job because if they keep their job, they lose their food stamps, and they have no interest in losing their assistance so they won’t work and believe me I know these people so they’re out there that gets real old and people are tired of it.
