Brian can you make a video of how disqualification of trump works using amendment 14, section 3? I understand that states can do that, but how? And can people demanding a judge in a state that he must be disqualified? I know amendment 14, section 3 is already used to disqualify a januari 6 rioter.

It's a very nice cop out to just say "it's a sign of how broken our justice system is", because that way you don't have to have any real arguments, and you might still sound like you know what you're talking about. But you don't, you just say that the system is broken whenever it doesn't do exactly the thing you want it to do.

He and his entire entourage should have been taken into custody the very second they found compartmented classified documents in his possession. They all should have been chained to the floors in individual cells with not but two buckets for furniture - One for water and the other for waste. Due process would have consisted of interrogations to determine who did what, when, and what they saw... AFTER they hadn't had anything to eat for 3 days. trump himself would have never saw the light of day again.

He should lose the privilege of the secret service! Why should the American tax dollar pay for this for a criminal?

Giving people another chance is not Republican philosophy -- hard line on offenders. But a corollary is that the Republicans always make exceptions for themselves.

Will Rollins is so clear and states things without drama in a way that is so easy to understand. He comes across as a caring honest person who is untainted by the tainted by the political game.

How could trump possibly carry out the duties of a President .For a start he could never get a security clearance again. If he was given a clearance it would make America and the office of the presidency the laughing stock of the world .Then there is the possibility of having his finger on the nuclear button again. Gives me shivers down the spine .

We now have a ( DRAFT DODGING ) former president being allowed to avoid pre trial detention, afraid of repercussions for doing so. OMG!!! This interview has given me hope for this country. For so long, I have felt as if I was in some crazy, bizarre dream of horror and that possibly I was the crazy one not to see how wrong the Republicans have been in their attempts to overthrow democracy and the well-being of this country. Seeing two normal adults discuss this way in such an intelligent conversation is refreshing. It, in turn, gives me hope that all is not lost and that crazy is just that crazy and will not become routine. For a second, I was worried.

Why is pre-trial confinement a "massive step"? When a defendant violates the terms of their release, they go to jail. Period. The only "massive" issue here is that our justice system continues to pander to Donald Trump instead of enforcing our laws fairly and equally.

That is a good question. Politicians and the judiciary seem to think that "pre-trial confinement" of Trump is almost beyond comprehension. I disagree because he is doing extreme damage to the judicial process right not because he is not confined. Part of his release agreements were to behave or face confinement, he is ignoring the agreements completely. He must face consequences. Right now he is again getting away with running roughshod over the judiciary.

Judges in all the cases need to uphold their own orders to ensure the integrity of the judicial process. Allowing Trump to continue to intimidate and tamper with witnesses, PUBLICLY, is just as bad as allowing him to commit crimes with impunity. Any other criminal defendant would be immediately detained until trial for blatantly violating the terms of their pre trial release conditions. Giving special treatment to Trump in spite of his actions is a stain on the credibility of our court system in general. He has to be held accountable.

Historically being convicted of treason was one of the worst things you could be convicted of and usually had the most serious consequences. In medieval times it often got a sentence of being drawn and quartered instead of just getting the head lopped off. trumpy better think seriously about what is coming for him if he is convicted. Prison works for me just fine.We the People are sick of listening to the traitors in our midsts.

I would agree, however, those jurists who take their roles seriously, perform them with dignity, impartiality and honesty, should be distinguished from those jurists that have provided their fealty to a certain orange monster and his kind.

I was one of the more than 20 million people who were watching when it happened. The first time, when I have been voting for 42 years. Why was I watching? I knew the capital rioting was going to happen. I spoke with my son and friends about what Trump was going to do even before his stand back and stan d by. Why were you watching?

The last Republican to get my vote was George HW Bush. It was during his administration that I began to realize what Reagan had done to us, and I understood that The Grand Ol’ Party was being replaced by something that I just could not support. In ‘92 I voted for Clinton and never looked back. My mom and grandma lasted a bit longer, but they both voted for Obama in ‘08 and ‘12. Grandma’s gone now, but mom still votes Democrat.

Once his name goes, if it does, on the ballot, and found guilty, then yes it should apply. Another reason for him to delay the truth until he can scam his way back to the White House and try to change the laws so his family could be the "forever presidents"
