Not working 40 hours is a CON Not having a consistent schedule is CON Having your rest days separated is a CON Getting sent home early is a CON These were all listed by you as Pros. It's crazy how management gets into people's heads and convinces them that a horrible work environment is somehow good for them

nah the breaks are the worst part. it’s so confusing because you have to take your first break at least an hour after you get there, your lunch should be on the fifth hour. your last break should be an hour after your lunch but not an hour before you leave. i absolutely hate working at target but i’ve only been there for less than 2 weeks so i feel like i can’t leave yet

It gets better! I’m on month two and I hated it the first 3 weeks because they really crack down on the rules when you first arrive. They start to become more lenient with you the longer you work there.

@@xelp435 There were wage and hour violations, safety violations, they gave us all 8 penny "pay raises" the last year I was there, yelled at in front of customers by managers, stupid management, no clue what they were doing. Final straw was when one of the managers grabbed another employee by the wrist, HR told the employee that the manager "must be having a bad day" and refused to do anything about the physical assault. Calls to corporate resulted in nothing being done. Target corporation endorses all that behavior, apparently. I left along with others.

Especially since they got rid of the stock room team….sor do it, you suffer in evey area 😭😭then they have the nerve to float you around to other departments if they want to, depetaryments you didn’t sign up to work at.

I was hired as a Starbucks team member. I spent more time in fulfillment and I remember one time I was on like hour three of picking for online orders when they called for me to finish what I was on and then go cashier, I ended up just saying I had to leave instead bc NO, let me do the job I was hired to do

If you go to a manager and tell them that you would prefer a different role in target instead of what they picked for you, can you possibly get that role? I applied for fulfillment and they are putting me in as a cashier etc. I hate that. I don’t do well with people.

Nope. same thing happened to me. after 150 days you can transfer out of your department to another. If you got a seasonal position you have to do a seasonal + 1 which means the whole season Plus 150 days if you didn't get the position you wanted once you became a non seasonal employee.

I love to shop at target, but I would never work there. I help adults with disabilities find fulfilling, competitive employement for the state as a vendor (no commission Im not a temp agency), but the way I saw 2 of my placements get treated was an abomination and I ended up pulling them both from the site and found them much more supportive roles. Also, unless I'm getting paid- I want those 40 hours, I need those 40 hours. Time off is nice, but being able to pay rent and like eat is pretty important.
