Hi Angela, thank you so much for making this video! I'm a rising senior in high school who's looking to apply to NYU Stern ED this fall. I'm interested in business but I also have a passion for STEM. The reason I considered NYU was because I saw that you could choose different concentrations to specialize in. After reading their descriptions on the website, I was drawn to econometrics and quantitative econ. I was wondering if you could recommend other concentrations that would fit someone with a strong STEM background. Thanks!

Hey Angela, I am a rising sophmore in College, class of 2024, and I was looking around at internships for banks such as Jp Morgan and Bank of America and all of the intern roles I saw had a requirement of graduating in 2022 or 2023. Were you able to get an internship as a sophmore or freshmen in college? I really want to get hands on experience in finance early on but I just can't find much

  • @angelasunx3

There are fewer large banks that offer internships for freshmen / sophomores. Know UBS has a program for sophomores, and you'd have to search to find more. Many boutique banks though will accept freshmen / sophomores so can look there.

Hey Angela, do you mind making a video talking about how to deal with bullying at work? I recently had some horrible experience being bullied at work. One example was my previous (yes, previous, because I left) supervisor had unreasonable deadlines for my projects and set me up for failure... at one point, she even did gaslighting and it was just insane...she came from big four. I started to make some serious mistakes and had breakdowns every day and eventually I left. Anyway, I know it is not a pleasant topic but just wonder if you can share some thoughts on this topic.

I know education is a business; but, NYU needs to have exit interviews, before graduation. I had no direction when I graduated. Granted it was partly my fault. I was only 22 with limited parental support; so, I was on my own. When NYU Alumni called for donations they tried to give me a guilt trip, they asked me if I got a good education. I said yes; but what good is an education without job? I had to go back to another school four more years after taking off one year. It was a long journey but I am still fighting.

@@mikeconnolly6845 as a fellow Irish man who is now doing my masters and trying to get into the banks in London let me tell you to go to the uk. You won’t get a job in London without a family connection with an Irish degree. I got a 1.1, first in class every year, scholarships and can’t even get job interviews for the uk. I’m in TCD/UCD, if you’re in neither of them then you’ll have literally no chance. For perspective, smaller boutiques get 3,000-5,000 applications each year from every European, many Asians as well as Africans. It’s far too competitive and they do milk rounds which is where they first go to target universities to hire. If they have enough good applicants there, they don’t even look at non target universities applications meaning your application may have literally 0% chance of even being reviewed for many banks. Go to the uk to a semi target, get a part time job if needs be but you’ll actually stand a chance there versus 45k in debt and zero chance from here.

The high tuition is only paid by rich families, and it is used to subsidized the poor families, (at least at most quality universities.) For example, at Sandford the tuition is $53,000 per year, but it is free for families that make less than $150,000 per year. At places like Princeton and Harvard they use a sliding scale, where it is free for incomes below $65,000, and graduated up to $150,000.
