Queen Creek should have made the developers build more communities that are livestock friendly (acreage) instead the developers are squeezing those that enjoy that sort of lifestyle out. QC/San Tan Valley is a bedroom community so expect to drive for your job & leave at least an hour before you need to be at your destination, longer if you work in Tempe/Phx area. QC should have also made the developers pay a tax to have the roads widen earlier, instead the developers on put in a right turn lane into their subdivision. Been out here since 1995

Agree. QC/San Tan are nice but too much growth congestion and they crammed to many subdivisions in and the roads aren't wide enough. Good point as to where you have to commute for work. That's a primary factor when choosing housing. Surprise is a little smaller, newer with newer roads, haven't been there lately. If you don't have to commute Buckeye and Festival are still kind of out there. The thing about the Valley of the Sun is it's so huge, it makes the Vegas valley look small. Think the author lives in Mesa. My impression of Mesa is it's big. On the US 60 Superstition Freeway east there's a sign that says "Mesa, Next 23 Exits". Wow. I'm in SE Tucson and I have to check, but I don't think Tucson has 23 exits. If you don't have to commute, Apache Junction. That's the wild west out there, and pretty dry. Lotta really pricey real estate in Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Camelback, Cave Creek and on and on.
