Please, I need the answer to this question... Prophethood is such a compelling argument, I can use it with my cousin who has apostated and my non-muslim friends, and to get rid of my own doubts as well; but my question is this: How do we come back at the question of "the narrations of the prophet's SAW honesty, bravery, offers of riches, etc. are all really biased and exaggerated because they are all narrated by people directly involved with the Prophet SAW."? Please help.

It was narrated in multitude that the Prophet (s) said whoever lies against me, let him take his place in the fire. As such, those who were directly involved in him were very careful not to lie about him or misrepresent him at all. Further, not all the narrations are from his companions. Urwah ibn Masood for example was visiting the camp of the Muslims and he was still a mushrik. He narrated about him as well. Thirdly, the narrations about his honesty and his reputation was built before prophethood and was maintained by disbelievers even after Prophethood. So unless a person thinks all tens of thousands of sahaba simultaneously lied and exaggerated (an absurd and impossibly difficult scenario) and no other reports were allowed to exist, then this dissension isn't quite valid.

Non Muslim historians record the fact in Encyclopedia Britannica that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam much before his prophethood was referred by Kuffars of Mecca as As Sadiq and Al ameen, meaning the most truthful and the most trustworthy. Now the basic question is that the man who never lied, could he ever lie about Allah the Almighty?? Is this the only thing he got to lie about?

The bravery part at least is very strong. It is reflected in the tone of the language of Quran. The types of stories and arguments as well as direct mentions in meccan part of Quran show that he was in a weak position. If he was not, you can't make sense of the meccan part of Quran. However in the same part where such stories are mentioned, there are condemnations of the the religion, tradition of meccans and their forefathers in strong language even though there is no need to do so. In the medina part we see bravery but in a different way. In these verses, we see commands and rules which would put himself in a riskier position in war. For example the rule that the prophet pbuh will pray salah in the middle of war leading others in prayer. He can't lie about doing that privately. And this ruling was most likely there in his lifetime since the Quran is dated to his time and this verse looks too not standing out to be forged later.

The very fact that there are innumerable cases of rebirth in this world - collapses the whole Islamic philosophy of one birth - Need I say more !!!

hey brother please do some research about illuminate, they work for DAJJAL AS WELL AS saitan , but they said to the mass people that "" THERE IS NO GOD "". But after dajjal came they will siad that ""THERE IS NO GOD BUT DAJJAL"" . You are a Hindu commenting about the man who has almost destroyed every opponents who debated him. They are available in the youtube. You might watch them for your own good. No one is a asking you to accept Islam.I would suggest you that even for criticising Islam you need to know it first. I have read Hindu scriptures. Do not compell me to open my mouth and make you feel embarrassed, because I don't want and like that too. You don't have any idea what you are talking about. May Allah give you hidayah.
