Market systems only function well when property rights are well defined. Take a deeper dive into the role of property rights in a market system in this video.
AP(R) Microeconomics on Khan Academy: Microeconomics is the study of individual decisionmakers in an economy, such as people, households, and firms. Learn how markets work, how incentives drive decisionmaking, and how market structure influences market outcomes. We hit the traditional topics from an AP Microeconomics course, including basic economic concepts, markets, production and costs, profit maximization perfect competition, imperfectly competitive market structures, game theory, factor markets, and income inequality.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

    With property rights comes a genuinely prosperous economy. Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, and Hans Hermann Hoppe understood this greatly. I recommend reading their works.

    I recommend the book Economics and Ethics of Private Property, by Hans Hermann Hoppe, where he establishes the ultimate ethic foundation of private property.

    Depends on where you live. Some countries have laws that if a piece of land isnt used in ..... amount of time, the government can sell it.

    What would happen if we put human rights ahead of property rights. When property ownership is used to coalesce wealth in the free market and governments incentivize the creation of artificial scarcity. ie tax right offs for properties that sit empty and fail to be occupied at “ market value “. We could have limits like “rent control” to prevent the amassing of property by corporations that use rent seeking in combination with the tax code as a method of hedging investments . Causing the people to socialize financial loses and allowing corporations to avoid risk to their wealth or borrowing power. Rethink property rights

    What is the role of 'money' in market economy? Is money (as debt) a private property or public utility in a Democracy?

  • @hamidghaderi1898
    @hamidghaderi18983 жыл бұрын

    Actually your argument proves the success of market not its failure; because market gives the lower value to unproven title as considering risk factors, Therefore market will promote demand for proven title and discourage unproven ones. In meantime market for delivering this services will arise, i mean market for legal private services. There is not need for government interventions. Market will develop and has developed by providing solutions in efficient manner to the problem of real world arising because we are human with limited capacity and limited resource available to solve them.

  • @freesk8

    Property rights are fundamental to economics. Under the more collectivist versions of economics, the property is owned by the state. Under the free market versions of economics, the property is owned by individuals. But if there is no property, there is no economics, because no one has permission to do economic activity without property rights.
