Christian has two channels. His main channel is usually more up to date as compared to this LostLeVlog channel. It's more for those that loved his original vlogging videos. As you can see he was shooting this on a GoPro and not the expensive cameras he uses on the LostLeBlanc channel. Hey Christian Have you checked any of the apartments around dubai that Matt and summer (KZread channel is called The luxury home show) showed in their videos when they were in Dubai? You could get a few ideas from a few cool properties around DMCC, JLT and Downtown 😊

FYI, LEASEHOLD OWNERSHIP IN DUBAI Buying leasehold property means you buy the right to occupy the property for a fixed period, like a long-term lease. This lease term is generally for 99 years but can be less in some instances. This form of property ownership in Dubai only grants the buyer rights to the unit, not the land it’s built on.

Just got back from Dubai. We were touring Damac Hills and Damac Hills 2 (SOOO far out in the boonies!). I am not overly impressed with the construction quality in Dubai. We have stayed in a bunch of places around there over the years, and they all seem to be prematurely falling apart. I want to move my tax home from Canada to Dubai in the next year, but I'm really torn on where/if to buy. I do like the layout that you chose! So many of the Dubai properties look like they were designed by an architect who has an aversion to sunlight. Your's looks nice and bright!

Moved a year and half ago from Montreal to Dubai. Best décision of my life. Hubby was a carpenter back in mtl so he knows about construction. He says he's never been to a property in Dubai that wouldn't be backcharged in Canada. It's literally the main reason we haven't bought yet

No, you don't have to be a resident, real estate in Dubai is open to foreign investors. However, there are properties/areas/zones that are strictly for the locals or GCC citizens.

Ever heard of rotton-tail projects? In China people would pay full price, make mortgage payments from day 1 and many projects would never finish because the funds would be invested in other projects which now don't sell. Result: home buyers end up with unfinished property and will be blacklisted if mortgage payments are stopped.

Hi Mike, in Dubai we have a government controlled system which oversees payments to properties that are under construction. In short, the buyer makes payments to an escrow account in installments tied to construction progress, making off-plan property purchases much safer

So someone has to ask, youre buying so much real estate and involved in so many big projects, what happend? Where is all that $$ coming from? Good for you

Hi Tim, yes all buildings or communities have a Home Owner's Association

So, what was the cost? The tax? Is it freehold or leasehold? Would have been nice to share some of these important details...

Usually in Dubai, if it's units/apartments, it's freehold. The leasehold mostly applies if you are buying a land/plot/villa/building but there are specific areas in Dubai that are a freehold zone. I believe the one he got is the project named "Collective 2.0" developed by Emaar which is freehold property.
